Gatesville Post Office

Can i take stars away. Paid to do absolutely nothing and most unhelpful personel. 2nd most useless business in this country. System stays offline and wont even get off the chair to go check if the package is there after the tracking app shows the parcel is there. Please open Athlone branch again much better and helpful staff

Wow, talk about being paid to do less than nothing! The person at the 1st counter was sitting doing something with her eyelashes or eyebrows. I had to greet her before she even realised I was there. I gave her a tracking number and told her CapeMail said the parcel was delivered to Gatesville. She was adamant that not parcel was delivered. This was done without even checking. I asked what the CapeMail number was, which she was unable to give. She was backed up by a lady with a scarf who kept on repeating that they received nothing. I left the dirty post office and called Athlone post office to get the number for CapeMail. I then called them and Debbie confirmed that 1st scan was done on 11 August before 9!!! When I returned to the post office, the lady with the scarf decided to check a file at her desk and low and behold, the parcel WAS there. The check took about 5 seconds!! This just stinks of incompetence.

Is this the correct telephone number? I've been ringing this number non-stop all day and nobody answers. One time it was engaged, the rest of the time it just rings and rings. Where is everyone all day?

No one answering the Phones and they take long to deliver slips to get parcels then mark it unclaimed but there cell phone numbers that they dont bother calling. Its our stuff we paid for it and yes we pay again at post office. Seems like there just no effort

They never answer their phone at this post office. You can call their landlines number at anytime during working hours. It's still the same result. No one answers the phone.

Waste of time place. Change to management and staff , otherwise it will close down. They doing you a favour.

Lines are usually short but this of course depends on what time you visit the branch. Service is usually acceptable depending on which teller you get.

Bad bad bad.Staff doesn't know how to communicate with the customers when they are collecting they Srd.They always don't have money and they are very slow.

The post office opens at 8 am and we've been in the line outside before 8 am it's half past 9 and we still outside.
