I'm really struggling with the accounts department, I've been receiving outstanding accounts from Glynnwood and Lancet due to the accounts department not communicating and sending through all necessary requirements to my medical aid. And when I phone to follow-up or to find out why there's outstanding balances on my account , there's no answer. The service received of the accounts dept is really terrible. Although the rest of the service received and time spent in hospital was superb, my experience with the accounts dept is making everything really unpleasant.
I can not believe that a hospital will rivet there windows shut and only allow it to open about 15 cm at the top section and have no air-condition in the ward. I was here in January, i eventually went to make my bed in the hall way by the lift as it was so hot in the 2 south ward. I said i will never come back, but my cardiologist is at this hosp and had to come back. Still the same, a small window that only opens a few cms and no aircon in the ward. I just find this absurd with the amount that private hospitals charge, so don't say that you care about your patients, you care about how much money you can get out of them. I'm really disappointed, once again.
The Nurse are rude, they dont greet nor introduce themselves and the worst part they don't even wear name tags. So you have no idea who is at your service. I will never go to any Life Hospitals again. You will ask for something from the nurse, they'll come back to you after an hour. I was sleeping in the bed without a pillow for 2 hours after being admitted, only got one when I was taken to theatre They do their job like they forced!!!! Never ever going back to this hospital. Also feel like they don't take some patients serious coz of their colour skin!!!!
I can't believe how this hospital has gone down. My gran was booked in twice and both times were appalling. The first time was last year where she was booked into the Medical Ward. The staff treated her poorly, bruising her when washing her and used her dirty linen to dry her off. They also told her how hungry they were and ate her lunch that was supplied by the hospital. The second time is recently. My gran was purple from lack of oxygen and was told that she would go to ICU, however she was only admitted after 20:30 that evening - she arrived at 15:00. When moved to ICU, the nurses were taking her medication from the drawers and giving it to the patients next door. Her room was also rather littered, not something you want to see in an ICU ward. UPDATE: I submitted my details and have still not heard back. When we went to see my gran again, she had moved beds. Her new bed did not even have a sheet or duvet on it. She asked for a blanket at about 7 AM and by visiting hours at 19:15 she was sleeping under her dressing gown. She had also had NONE of her medication the entire day - the nurses failed to bring them for her...
I wont recommend taking your child to this Dr. In the hospital the Dr was good. I cannot say the same about his practice, the smell was revolting ,the reception sprayed doom to get rid of the flies brommers. The Dr was untidy and i dont understand why you have to make a booking because they have noooooooo sence in keeping to the appointment
I arrived at the emergency room with a suspected blood clot they admitted me and I sat for 24 hours not even seeing a doctor or any tests done because apparently the doctor had forgotten to fill the form in. I have lupus and antiphospholipid syndrome and when I finally saw the doctor he was a pediatrician who did not even check my heart or anything said the blood clots were not there and sent me home incorrect specialist who probably did not even want to treat me. I am now home still sick with pain and dizziness and no answers. Waste of time and money they have a rheumatologist so why a pediatrician for a 42 year old patient with chronic conditions
To the ER Team & Medical Ward 2 South team thank you for your kindness shown to my son in his recent visit 25 - 27 April 2023. I was very impressed with the service he received. You really made a difference and made his stay a lot easier. Thank you regards Cox Family.
I would like to thank all the ER staff and the ER Doctor together with the head Nurse that looked after my daughter on Sunday morning 11th of June 2023 It was a very scary experience and you all were amazing xxx Thank you Thank you to Prof Grigorov Cardiologist Physician Specialist and he’s Nurse Rob for everything and your thorough checks. We are truly thankful.
A disaster of note.Took my 73 year old father there yesterday. Waited six and a half hours in an unorganized chaotic so called ED.Only to be treated by grumpy unfriendly staff and pay a R350 admin fee, even though he is on medical aid.Dr Naidoo and Annelize were the only 2 helpful caring staff. This hospital has gone from a luxury top class facility to a beyond low class institution. State hospitals are 10 times better and they free. What a disgrace, the staff don't answer the phone, reception has no idea who the hospital manager is and can't even find his/her contact details to address this appalling service. Not to mention having to wait 10 hours for a CT scan and watch and old man suffer with immense pain and suffering.Avoid the Glynworst at all costs. They care so much,to date no one has contacted me to follow up.What a lot of nonsense they said in their response, even after I followed the link and rated them as low as I can.
My husband was recently treated for a heart attacked at Glynwood hospital. I am very grateful to the outstanding staff at casualty who took such good care of him. Thank you to Dr Singh and the amazing nurses who were so compassionate and caring, unlike your admin staff... a Massive thank you to the amazing High care nurses, in particular Nurse Sam Mmola and Fufu for taking such care of my husband. Thank you to the rest of the highcare doctors and nurses.
