Love this place which always has a wide variety of delicious options for vegetarians and vegans. Friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere. They also sell Eastern wear, incense, books and other things.Food: 5/5

I am not a hare Krishna devotee but have been eating at Govinda’s restaurant for many years in Durban. My family and I decided to try the one in Sandton and the service is horrible. My husband and I stood on either side of the serving counters hoping to be served and we were just ignored! This happen on 2 different occasions. So much for service to mankind!

Horrible experience sad to say and we were overcharged from the amounts we were told to the total we swiped for. Sadly only noticed the slip when we jumped into our car. But food and service very poor. Not a return for us.

Placed the order early, was asked to collect the food at 12noon. Rotis were not ready, excuse was there was no assistance and loadshedding. The herbs was a bit dry, the beans in the herbs were hard. Ordered Chow Mein, it was not packed Vegetarian options: Variety of curries. Parking: No parking, street is narrow

excellent lacto-vegetarian food. great variety of dishes and cakes. Every 3rd Sat - they have even greater selection of dishes. simple "home-cooked" meals. Beware Govinda's closes once food is sold out though so give them a call to confirm they still open.

Delicious, mouthwatering vegetarian foods available for take away or sit in restaurant. Tranquil, and serene atmosphere with a Temple on the same property. Go to meditate or just enjoy the serenity within the temple and gardens.
