This is by far the best jiu-jitsu gym in the world. Gracie Barra Melrose has the best coaches, best Professor, best facilities and the best members. So welcoming. A place where growth is inevitable! A place I call my home!

This gym has got such a great vibe. I look forward to every session because there is a good level of coaching but more importantly great people sharing the mat with you.

A home and a family away from home. Coming from abroad I found in these guys an incredible group of people with great values and friendship spirit. Besides their human qualities this academy is the best you can get: great and clean venue, amazing coaches and respect at the matts. Our head Coach, David, is also an amazing and highly driven human being that has been very active in the progress of the sport and art in South Africa. The staff is also very helpful! I highly recommend the experience… If you try you probably will stay and become a shark!

By far the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy in the whole of Gauteng. It has three scheduled classes daily to fit your needs and you actually have many sparring partners with different skill sets. The spread between belts is nice and even so the learning never stops. The coaches and professor's are world class and the people are amazing! Great academy to join if you want to learn the art of Jiu Jitsu for competing or self-defense.

Absolutely amazing experience. Am so humbled by the beautiful art of jiu jiutsu was taught by Vuyo and kale the Profs allowed them to take the class. I'm so humbled by their knowledge and the art will definitely be back soon. I have so much to learn looking forward to the journey
