Sandton San Deck Bar & Restaurant

Had a lovely dinner with my colleagues at the restaurant. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel welcome and speedily attended to our orders. The food is very delicious and comes in large portions, the desert options are just as flavorful and are made with quite a unique spin to regular desserts. I would highly recommend the restaurant for anyone interested in a fine dining experience.

We had our year end function there. They food was wonderful. Service was fantastic and drinks even better. It started raining and the waitress Portia immediately moved us inside to another table. Will be back again and highly recommend.Food: 5/5

It was raining the day I visited so I’m yet to come and sit outside and enjoy drinks with the view. As a starter I tried out the grilled halloumi salad which was good. I ordered the salmon with grilled veggies and a side of fries +lemon butter sauce as a my main. The fish was very well cooked but the dish wasn’t the tastiest in terms of flavor. Overall i rate it a good 7/10, good date night vibes. As a drinks/ rooftop vibe, definitely a good 10/10 but I’ll keep you updated Video review on my Tiktok & Instagram @pashieb

This was my first visit to this establishment and it was a bit confusing if you’re not familiar with the area. Do not use the hotel entrance. Instead, head to the parking garage and take the elevator to the 6th floor. When you step off the elevator, make a left, and walk beyond the luxury stores. You will then make another left, after the art gallery. Okay, so once you’re at the main restaurant entrance, you’ll be greeted by security for a temperature check and instructed to sanitize. Make a left, and you will see a bar to your right and an open galley to your left. You will then approach ANOTHER security station and AGAIN asked to sanitize. I was more interested in dining on the party deck side but was told it was full and cannot be accommodated . Alternatively, I was seated on the dining deck side. It was basically separated from the lounge by a low metal fence so I was still able to enjoy the music. My waitress for the evening was Notholee. She was courteous and efficient. She was nice enough to snap a few photos of me since I was solo dining and she checked back in me often enough, which is always a sign of good service. Ambience: despite being on the non-party/lounge side, I was still impressed. The fire pits were a nice touch and the view is beautiful. Food: Grilled Prawns for an appetizer meh!, a bottle of sparkling Rosé , Rib Eye Steak and Mash absolutely did not enjoy and actually didn’t eat. The beef was hard but rubbery all at the same time AND cooked at the wrong temperature. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. I ordered the Cajun Pasta and asked for chicken to be added to replace the mediocre steak. Surprisingly, when my bill came, the rib eye was still listed but Natalee was so nice about everything, I couldn’t be bothered to address it. Overall, highly recommend for the vibes and champagne but eat somewhere else first. Also, the restrooms are located allllllll the way on the opposite side of the pool. The mothers day 3 course meal was fantastic and the gift they gave to the mothers was so impressive very enjoyable indeed. The Salmon dish was very bland and needs some work but the rest of the food was fantastic.

Always a vibe. Okay food but no one is really there for the food are we now, were there for thr vibe and the views. Good service. Beautiful views all around. Balcony is very therapeutic & the perfect place for the perfect picture. Always a good experience. Go to place for chill as, dates, meet up etc highly recommend.

Great place. Reminds me of eating in the atrium of a cruise ship. I had the fish and chips. The fish hake was perfectly breaded and fried and delicious but the frieschips reminded me of soggy McDonalds fries. The peppadew chicken and penne was quite tasty. Service was super friendly but spotty.

It was my first visit, and I can say that the place is very relaxed, with cool vibes and a great view. The food was delicious. The music was great. I will most certainly return.
