We went in for supper on a Friday night. The restaurant was not to busy and we were seated fairly quickly. I chose to have a light meal and went with the chicken strips with almond crust which came with cheese fondue. The chicken was very tender and flavourful which was good. The food was prepared a bit on the slower side and the wait was a bit long. For dessert I tried the black velvet oreo cake. This was really good and the slice was very generous. One would struggle to finish it after a full meal. I would definitely return to try other options on the menu.

The food is juicy and delicious, the cakes are worth every cent, the service from the staff is great, however the setting of tables is a bit weirdly cramped.Food: 5/5

The Walnut Grove is not the same anymore. It is definitely time to invest in replacing the furniture and the sugar/condiment holders displaying the table numbers - they are, simply put, gross. Tables are sticky… the waiters are not as friendly and efficient as they used to be. The food takes longer, and it’s not worth the wait. My Americano was tasteless and boiling. The complimentary cupcake was stale. We used to go to this restaurant frequently, and I was excited to return. What a disappointing experience… I agree with the other reviewers - the owners should consider a revamp.

Lunch for 2 on a Saturday. Service is extremely slow. Waiters do not come check on the tables. Wait for the food is quite long. Ordered a butternut and sage gnocchi- sent it back to the kitchen as it was over salted. No apology no compensation- walked out hungry.

Been a while since I came here and it’s lovely how it feels apart and contained from the mall yet right in the hub of the grove. I love how the waiter remembers the order without having to write the stuff down . I love the Tumeric Golden Latte hot drink had some sushi yet the vegan burger was average, my friends kingclip was excellent , the sashimi slices we beautifully presented. Cozy spot to have an anytime meal.

One of Sandton City’s popular restaurants, it was pleasant going back after a long time. Gets super busy during brunch so seating can be a challenge.

Food was good, waitress was helpful and good too. However, during busy periods, floors and tables are sticky. And the seating area became untidy. Needs more attention to hygiene Vegetarian options: Very few veg only options Kid-friendliness: No Parking: Mall parking Wheelchair accessibility: No space for a wheelchair to come through.

A great place for family and friends to enjoy a cozy, delicious meal together. Fitted with a variety of seating options. Bookings may be suggested during busier times. Above the other restaurants, with low ceilings a meal had here provides a homely atmosphere.Food: 5/5

Second occasion visiting this restaurant, the first time I was sat down and then received no service for 30 minutes. On this occasion I placed an order only to receive no food after excess of 40 minutes. I did ask the waiter how long the food would be and he informed not very long at all. Disappointing.
