The Bull Run was truly wonderful. Loved the ambience and the service was spectacular! We had fried calamari and steamed pork buns to start and steak and stuffed chicken as mains. The food was perfectly cooked and delicious. The steaks were sublime and the reason we chose the restaurant and we were not disappointed! The only negative comment was the chocolate mousse which I had hoped would be more flavoursome. The texture was perfect but it was creamy rather than chocolatey and I like my chocolate mousse to have more punch. Other than that, a thoroughly enjoyable evening and keen to return. Vegetarian options: They had vegetarian options on the menu Parking: Safe parking under the shopping centre.
The food was absolutely delicious. We had the cheesy garlic prawn starter, and then rump steak and the blue cheese burger for mains. My steak was cooked perfectly and was allowed to rest before it was served to me. The cocktails were very well priced and really tasty. We then had the caramel cheesecake for dessert. It was a bit overdone and dry, but still tasty nonetheless. Our waiter, Sibusiso, was so helpful and attentive, and he has brilliant recommendations! He really knows his stuff. This was such a brilliant treat for valentines day. We will be back!
The filet was cooked perfectly and so tender we could cut it with a fork. We also had the lamb burger, also cooked to a perfectly medium rare. Both were super delicious and the sides, chips and mixed vegetables were great. Ronald our server was super friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and knew exactly when we needed something.
The food was very delicious and the service was really good. I had the best dessert ever! Also our waiter Hope was very friendly and helpful and he made us feel welcome.
I've been wanting to visit for a few months and finally got the chance this weekend. This is the epitome of what a steak house is supposed to be; waitrons were extremely knowledgeable when it came to the meat, everyone's steak in a party of 6 was perfectly cooked and there are some strangely wonderful sauces on the menu. An amazing experience and probably my favourite steak house in the area. A must try.
Whist famous for its Steaks , I have always been a Lamb person and have to say the Leg Of Lamb was outstanding. Meat fell of the bone , so tender and succulent. Well worth a try
We had such a lovely evening at the Bull Run. This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with all the bells and whistles you would expect from this type of restaurant. The service was excellent and the steaks I had fillet and vegetables were soft, tasty and well prepared. We shall definitely visit them again.
Picked this restaurant to celebrate a milestone event… atmosphere was incredible - service was good although slightly delayed but I will put that down to the fact that it was busy… our table sent a few things back as the sides were cold etc. I tried out the salmon and wasn’t completely thrilled. My sides though were incredible …. Overall the restaurant was pleasant and quite lively - so if it’s vibe you’re looking for then this place is great
This restaurant is next to MARC shopping mall & Protea Hotel Balalaika Sandton. Ordered creamy chicken penne + vanilla milkshake for R70 for my kid. The penne is okay but the milkshake is so sweet. Steak + rib is a mixed impression because the rib is so good but the steak is so pale I ordered medium well to well done. The waiter put the effort to recommend cooking style to medium well and provided kids activity. Kid-friendliness: Kids activity is provided and a kids menu is also available.
What an amazing atmosphere with great food for all pallettes. We spent a Night at the Balalaika hotel in Sandton and found this gem of a restaurant right next door. It was a very cold night and we 1st tried Saint next door but is was way too loud and the only tables available were outside brrrrrrr... So we walked over to The Bull Run and it was the best. Warm, cozy and the food and drinks were delicious. Definitely will be back for more
