My mom had a operation at this hospital. The doctors is excellent but some of the staffnurses is the worst. For a private hospital I expected 100% better care for the patients from them. This is something that needs to be reviewed by Management.
I was admitted to Netcare Greenacres on Thursday 30 March and am still here Monday 3 April. I was admitted to G-Ward. Wow! What amazing staff. I have been through shift changes, new groups working and I have been treated so well. The staff are happy and friendly and very professional. Thank you to each and every one of you that made my stay a pleasure. The food was amazing. Till next time Ms. JODY FOSTER
On the walls of the hospital it says "silence heals" never in my life have I experienced such non caring staff shouting at each other and trolleys making loud noises. A hospital is a quite safe environment where patience need to rest and heal. This hospital makes it impossible. Doctors and procedures are good but staff has no respect for the sick
My stay at Netcare Greenacres hospital was the most frustrating experience. I started off in high care where I was admitted efficiently. I was not given lunch. I was then sent to F ward. They barely admitted me. Numerous people would not respond to my queries or questions. They seem to be understaffed with skilled people. I had to have a pizza delivered for dinner.. At departure time I was forced to wait for an before I was allowed to leave. I will never recommend this place.
Bad service! Waited for hours whilst feeling terribly weak. 2 patients who came after me were told to go in before me because my case was seem as a not so patient one whilst I was really needing care. My husband and I arrived at the hospital before 6pm, we just got discharged now at 22:30pm. The waiting really was really quite traumatic for us.
Netcare Greenacres is the new Livingston... My ASD daughter had been vomiting blood on and off since 5am, 3 days after a tonsillectomy. Got to the ER at about 14h30, waited and waited... finally, just when we thought she was next @ 16h55, they call for a kid who has a fever, who came in an hour AFTER we did. I then complained saying that possible life threatening surgery complications trumps a fever, especially when the kid and the other people waiting after us had already received pain / fever medication + the one patients Dr Dr Coetzee was even called directly by the nursing staff so that the patient wouldn't have to wait to be admitted they looked and functioned perfectly fine BTW We were then taken through to a room, another hour later... still no doctor! PATHETIC!!! Suffice it to say, we walked out... never going back. P.S. we only saw ONE doctor in the ER area the entire time we were there... how?
I recently spent 9 days at Netcare Greenacres Hospital and from admission to discharge, it was nothing short of a nightmare. If I could give this post a negative rating, I would. Unfortunately I cannot so a one star has to do for now. The state of the hospital wards is appalling, the bedding is threadbare, the maintenance is lacking, staff are indifferent to patients' needs, the bed was not made or linen changed until the day before discharge - what a disaster!!! And then the bill arrives and they have the nerve to charge a ward fee of R5 007 per day - for what?!?!? I am lodging a formal complaint with Netcare, supported by photographs, for what it is worth - just maybe there could be some improvement for the next patient, should they take the complaint to heart. Netcare Greenacres has a lot to learn - Life St George's Hospital puts them to shame hands down.
Worst hospital!. My 82 yr old mom discharged without her antiobiotic script for acute diarhee. We didnt even know she was meant to have one. Five days later finally got feedback from hospital and told the discharging doctor never issued it. So she was on it for 2 days and off it for 6days...u know that all that does is make the bug stronger. So had to get it ourselves and pay R1700 for the meds that wudve been part of in-hospital costs had it been done properly. She is with us now and in worse shape than when she went in. And I can't get hold of the Dr that put her on it cause it's weekend. In November 2022 my husband was also discharged with incompetence after being driven off his bike by a drunk driver. He was sent home without them even picking up that his one shoulder bone was no longer attached at the joint...and that after x-rays. I pointed it out to him that something didnt look right but he said the Dr said he was fine. On about the Wednesday he was phoned to please come back for a scan. I could go on... Why do we pay so much for medical aid when the hospital care is so pathetic I really do not know. Please if u can avoid going to Greenacres Hospital please.
This is a sham of a private hospital! What is the point of medical aid when one must go here?. I injured and hurt my knee and went to the doctor, where it was recommended I go to casualty because of the loadshedding etc their equipment and the doctors were full. I get to greenacres and they triage me, the elderly nurse was very rude and told me why did I come here? Any doctor could deal with it? I was then told it’s a seven hour wait and they want a lot of useless information like exact dates of Covid vaccines can’t you take my word that I’ve had them all they asked me this twice and other useless information like occupation not great when someone is in pain I was then told I would have to wait several hours. I just left and found an after hours doctor to treat me. Honestly worst medical service I have ever received! They are clearly understaffed and need to hire some more staff to deal with the demand. The toilets were also very dirty and there is nothing that distinguishes them from a government hospital honestly.
Doctor Moosa is the best gynaecologist. She was there from the beginning to the end of my contractions and delivered my baby on the 12 of March. Thank you so much for your help to you and your teamI would definitely recommend her, shes the best
