Customer Service Received: After calling Gucci enquiring the next steps to be taken, we arranged with a friend to have the defective bag delivered to the store for after care during the 1st week of September. The bag was delivered to a sales associate, the bag was handed to her and she mentioned all the information will be updated on my husband’s profile It has been 2 months since the bag was handed in to Gucci with no further communication, I called customer service and was contacted by Bafana from Johannesburg store. There was no record of the bag ever being in the store and there was no further assistance provided by the team. We had to go into the Gucci store today again, we needed to prove we were in the store on the date of return, so we viewed the CCTV footage and it was as clear as daylight there was my friend returning the bag in September. I had to provide evidence of photo’s and the actual receipt before receiving further service. We were made to look like thieves in your store due to your store staff’s incompetence and lack of service. The bag was suddenly found in one of the backrooms after 2 months and then a service order was finally opened We were made aware that the repair will be on our cost!!! How is this possible if the quality of the bag was sub-par initially???? Background: Bag was purchased in March 2022 from Doha Airport Picture of receipt attached I used the bag for 2 weeks in total I noticed peeling of the leather on various parts of the bag, the hardware also started to tarnish/discolour having the bag for 5months
There was literally no one in the shop. I was told to wait in a line out side the shop. There was no one outside the shop waiting to get in either. Although I went there for a specific item, by the time security as if they were doing me a favour let me in, I had already made the decision to rather support another brand. When I got in to the shop the staff were not knowledgeable on the product and very unhelpful. The attitude of the staff was also a joke. I really wanted the item I went there for, but there are other brands that make the buying experience a good one and I choose to support them. I ended up buying a similar item from a competitor two doors down. The experience went pretty much as badly as it possibly could for Gucci and I have no desire to support the brand anymore.
Left standing in the que for ages to get into a store that was practically empty. It’s astonishing that the premium Sandon brands have this sales strategy. We were keen buyers that ended up just walking away. A highly unsatisfactory experience, we won’t be back.
