President circle be warned!!!! They will not honour your guaranteed upgrade. This is the 4th renting in Johannesburg and even after phoning the central reservations a week prior to my rental to confirm my GAURANTEED upgrade they didn’t provide it. They also over charged me on Kilometres driven and made me pay a super waiver I declined at pick up! Don’t expect the service you get from Hertz in the US in South Africa. It’s like they told to make it as hard as possible to get your upgrade …. Pathetic, don’t subscribe to the rewards program if you not going to honor the perks!!!

The service was perfect and the car was very comfortable. When I returned the car Sydney was very helpful and closing the contract was so quick. Really enjoyed the trip. Worth every cent.

The service at the book in was good. I forgot/they did not hand me back my drivers license, however they phoned me to say that it is with them. All good till here. But now the drivers license is gone. I phoned them daily with the promise that they will call me back, they did not even bother or have the decency to call me after a week and a lot of promises that they will. So much for protection of personal information if someone can just take /steel/misplace someone's driver's license.

Last year car rental turned out way cheaper than this year.

Just a big thank you to Hertz in Sandton.  Mandy, that's the name of the extremely helpful person who made it possible for me to have another car in a very short time. Hertz and their hotline.. ??  complete failure all along the way. Although I was promised another vehicle, nothing was delivered.  feedback no.  Only endless queue at the hotline. Dear Hertz team, just take an example of how service works, like Mandy's in Sandton.
