It’s a nicely decorated place, and Martha is a nice host. Apart from that, waste of cash if you want to sleep peacefully over a Saturday night. The after hours phone line is unavailable, the remote they provide seems to not work at night, and also there was literally a party being had since I entered at 22:00. The people on site only wanted to sort out the issue at 23:50 when I’d already packed my bags into my car. I’m lucky I live near by and locally based, but put your money else where if you need a place to stay for the night if you don’t want to drive at night.
Bery happy with our stay. Stately building with fantastic views over Johannesburg. Rooms are spacious with crisp, comfortable beds. The fact that breakfast is not prepared on-site and has to be pre-ordered the day before is not ideal. Neither is the fact that the en-suite bathroom has no door a loose foldable room divider is supplied instead. It certainly is uncomfortable to say the least to use the toilet with your partner within earshot. To afford each other privacy for our morning routines we took turns waiting outside in the beautiful gardens. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a pleasant experience. Will overnight there again.

Best place to be at. Staff very friendly welcoming and go an extra mile to help . Landscape the best, breakfast Devine, suitable for weddings as well. I recommend it for anyone who is looking for tranquility. They only need proper doors in their bathroomsRooms: 4/5
It was a short stay and a great experience until it was in the evening with a cold weather... There was no air conditioning or heater in the room then I needed to take a bath and the bath tub didn't have a stopper,I went to get assistance from the staff members and they said they don't have stoppers. The food was nice and yet their landscaping is to die for!
It's a beautiful and has serendipity. A perfect hideoutRooms: 5/5
When you arrive at the gate, you are welcomed with the most sincerest welcome to house higgo .you enter and you are sanitised and you abide by the covid regulations and fill out the Guest Form .you are then told the house rules and given your room key and then escorted to your room .they hold your luggage for you.when I got to my room I was greeted by the most beautiful scenery as the room has garden view and the furnishings are a mixture of urban and antique vintage style . The Room was very clean and the bathroom and shower has a beautiful view in the bedroom. When you go into the garden you are welcome by the most magestic view for a moment you forget that you in Jo'burg. The interior design of the house and garden is out of this world I had a fantastic time and I am definitely recommend that people come visit the place and the staff is very Friendly Beks you were a star and made the stay feel like home. The Swimming pool is beautiful and the Garden is so relaxing and enjoyable.Make a Short Right to House of Higgo your new home away from home.
Great place services are great amazing staff
It's a beautiful house, wouldn't say u still in Gauteng. The pool is amazing n clean. There is gang space to chill n be in the zone but they need to get new towels for the guests, they were hard n over used.
I was not happy with the treatment, it was like staying at the landlord's house on loan. You are made to feel that it's someone else's. I regret spending my money on themRooms: 2/5
