We have stayed at 49 on Norman several times. The rooms are large, spotlessly clean and the breakfast is amazing. Eileen is the best host and the staff are lovely. The rooms have everything you need, toiletries, powerful hairdryer, air con, coffee, tea and water. We often have a room with a patio area and sit in the garden by the pool. Great location and safe parking. Absolutely excellent, highly recommend.
Absolutely lovely and beautiful gem in the West Rand. Eileen was a wonderful host and so welcoming. My daughter and I had an amazing and special mom and daughter bonding time. Thank you Eileen. We really appreciate everything.
We loved staying here. Big area for guests to enjoy outside and pool if required. Large bedroom with large bathroom including full bath and separate shower. Eileen is a warm, friendly and helpful host as are her staff who were most efficient dealing with breakfast. Room was cleaned daily with new towels. I recommend staying here.
Super friendly, considerate and accommodating staff. My room was clean and so comfortable, with those little personal touches that gave it extra warmth. Lovely atmosphere and just an all round great vibe. Will definitely be coming here again!
After being deceived by pictures and staying in below standard airbnb i went searching and found this lovely guest house. The rooms are spacious and very clean cleaned every day with all the amenities. Eileen, the owner, is always present and kind, ensuring that everything is running well. The staff is well trained, polite and very attentive. The garden and pool are beautiful. I recommend this guest house and I will be back.
What amazed me most about the place is how beautifully the place has been decorated! Every single decorative is so unique and antique, spell bounded by the interiors. It's a paradise for one who appreciates all lill things in life. Last but definitely not the least, huge shout out to the owner, Eileen is a charismatic lady and have been a fab host.
Home away from home. I have been staying regularly since the year 2008 and will continue to stay here in the future also. Eileen owner takes special care for the needs of every guest and is a wonderful and warm host. Eileen's guest house sets up a bench mark on cleanliness and security too. I wish Eileen and her professional staff all the best.
Made a booking on Safari, paid and got confirmation. On arrival Eileen didn't know about the booking. She let us in anyways and showed us to our room. Then once we got settled she started moaning about how Safari never sent her the booking even though we showed her on her emails that they had. Then she started moaning about how Safari only pays her after 5 days, and that we needed to pay her now with our credit card and get the money back from Safari. We agreed and she kept on moaning about Safari, I eventually said she shouldn't partner with them and the relationship between them and herself is none of my business as I am the guest and the experience is making us feel very unwelcoming. She then demanded we leave immediately and threatened to call her son and the police if we didn't. We didn't hesitate as this person was clearly unstable. We left with no accomodation at 730pm just before curfew. Please everyone rather don't take a chance by staying here, it's not worth the drama and politics from Eileen.
We stayed at this place with my boyfriend the past weekend. For people who are not from around the province, this is the best place to stay when you in Johannesburg and easy to find. The owner is friendly, as well as her staff. The place looks amazing. You are tempted to stay longer. The rooms are clean, right to the smell of the pillows. I highly recommend this place as the go-to-stay guesthouse. Thank you Eileen. :
I highly recommend Eileen's guest house if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Johannesburg. It's a lovely place she has. And everybody there was very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay there. We even wanted to extend our stay but they were already booked up. But Eileen helped us find another place to go. Thanks Eileen.
