Absolutely horrible service and dishonesty from a rude and grumpy owner who constantly advised us when that she was just a mere employee when in actual fact was the owner Our experience started on the 8th of March 2023, initially we enquired about Fourways Apartments and not Fourways Gardens Guest. I requested a price and received one, made all payments in full. Considering this was a business stay we assumed that all was in order and we would be staying at Fourways Apartments and not Fourways Gardens After a long journey from Durban to Gauteng we arrive to only find out that we are booked in fourways Gardens and not apartments. The only place we ever Enquired about was Fourways Apartments and we had no idea that Fourways Gardens existed. Upon asking for a refund because we were mislead the owner came up with a host of excuses and just paid us back 50 percent of our fully paid total and yet we did not even occupy the unit for two hours, whilst waiting we made alternative arrangements for accommodation elsewhere. To the owner you are dishonest and misleading individual and we will take this matter up and recover our outstanding balance. Will not recommend this company, Establishment or owner to anyone. Disgusting
Horrible, owner very noisy, she went in our cottage when we were away and the place had ants in and outside and I had a 4 month old baby plus a 4 year old. I had to go and buy my own ant killer products...Shower handle broke every time we used it. I had to call the owner to clean the outside area since my son wanted to play outside. And they had this dog roaming around.
As a travelling business person, I regularly have to travel to Johannesburg for business for a couple of days. Having to stay at a hotel is a no-no..... There I am just another 'guest' . At Fourways Gardens Guest Estate, I feel more 'at home'. The owners welcome you with sincerity and you feel welcome like a visiting family member. They take care of their business. They quickly respond to invoice requests and bookings are done promptly. The rooms are always super clean and neat. The estate's garden is beautifully maintained and I love the trees all around the property. So, do I recommend this business?.... YES... Value for money?... YES...
I had a very nice experience at this guest house during my visit in November 2019.The unit was very clean morden and facilities were excellent.My visit last week was not as nice.The bedding was far from fresh and unit was reeking of cigarette smoke.I raised it with manager.He denied that was the case without checking.I will not come back.
Beautiful guest house but the owner was very miserable not sure if she is that way with all her guest but myself and my sisters that were staying there for the weekend will never stay there again. Her tone of voice when she speaks to a person is rude. There were only 2 cottages that were occupied but we were chased out like dogs the Monday morning.
I have not been to Fourways Gardens Guest Estate as yet but I would like to comment on the response time. It is AMAZING. Send one email or try and call one time and get a response back in 5minutes. Can not say this for many places:. RoomsForAfrica & Jean Wadeowner you guys are such a pleasure to deal with. Can not wait for my stay
The room smelt of tobacco smoke.Bedding was not fresh.Wifi was not working.I was sad that it was not half as nice as my first stay in 2019.I will not come back.Rooms: 1/5
I would give it 0 stars if I could. The owners barge into your house, they let their dogs roam free. There was always bush everywhere, and the room service was horrible.
Unfortunately it was not the warmest of welcome recieved. That being said, the self catering unit were well equipped and in a good condition.
