The rooms aren't bad for the price and include a small fridge, DSTV, and aircons. The rooms are clean and tidy. Unfortunately the aircon didn't work while we were there. They also don't have any towels out for guests to use. The cushions are very big and can easily cause neck pain. Service wasn't bad. Very politw and friendly. The food the following morning was good. Basic breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast. With optional cereal and yogurt. The biggest problem is the location, which falls very close to a studenthouse. They were playing music and having a party until morning hours. For the price, not bad. All in all, okay experience, but one or two things to improve/fix. Safety: Felt safe
We are from Piet Retief and had to book a Bed and Breakfast due to unfortunate circumstances. We booked at Silver Birch Bed and Breakfast as they are wheelchair friendly. What a nice surprise, clean, comfortable room and bathroom. Excellent, friendly and helpful service by a young man named Chad.His family and patents can be very proud of him. If ever the need comes up again, we will not hesitate to book thete again. Thank you so much. We were blessed to have found such excellent service. We'll done. Keep it up
It was a great experience. Not only is the staff friendly, they also were very helpful. I will definitely be recommending it to colleagues, friends and family. I definitely won't hesitate to come back here.Rooms: 5/5
Room in need of some paint. Kettle to be replaced with cordless kettle. Hide and repair extention plugs all the plugs which might be a fire hazard. Awesome bed. Breakfast very basic but reasonable. Recommended? At this stage, not really.
The host was initially incredibly unfriendly, which did not make a positive first impression. Room was ok, comfortable bed but I found a cockroach near the fridge which is gross. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were absolutely amazing, 10/10. I'm giving this a 2/5 because I will always remember how condescending and unkind the host was on arrival. You can't afford to have a bad day in the hospitality industry.
I'm here on business, so quality sleep is of utmost importance. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are absolutely HEAVENLY! The rooms are spacious, neat and equipped with everything one would need for an overnight's stay. The owner/host is very helpful and friendly. All-in-all, this place offered a very pleasurable experience.
I booked online and within 5 minutes, Kevin emailed me to get details on arrival time. Sue is so motherly and made me feel at home. I ended up extending my stay by 1 day. I loved Free Wifi; Coffee n Kettle; bar fridge; many TV channels and Sue's tasty breakfast.
