It's hard to compete when you're opposite a KFC in a mall, but Hungry Lion does a decent job. Love the spicy chicken - yes, it's better than KFC. I said it. Service could be a bit faster and it attracts quite a lot of people.
I ordered a family feast via Mr D on 31/01/2023. The chicken pieces were short,and Zamba ones were burnt,also the calslaw was dry and had only cabbage no mayonnaise or carrots.
M working here n mall and I always buy m lunch here and the service I get from Timothy its incredible ,keep u the good work ,u so friendly
I went to hungry lion in promenade today for the 1st time after maybe 4 yrs. I waited super long for my order and went to enquire as all other people received theirs quickly. A staff member told me my orders not ready yet. After waiting for another 15 mins or more in enquired again and the same staff member asked Tanya supervisor or manager I don't know about my order. Tanya went to check n came back to me WITH INFORMATION saying that the patties were not ready yet n she APOLOGIZED for the delay n gave me ALTERNATIVES. I found her customer service OUTSTANDING as we don't get it in South Africa anymore. Tanya's service recovery was super good as she was very apologetic, she was honest about the situation, didn't keep me in the dark, gave me alternatives n she compensated me with a free meal. How amazing is she! Awesome work Tanya! Her customer service made me forget about the negatives of waiting. Great Job n praise to Tanya
A dip machine that is broken since yesterday left me to dissapoint my kids that wanted dipped cones. Please have your machines serviced its minth end we cannot dissapoint clients
They told me waiting time 25-30 and i understood.so i returned in 25 minutes and asked if my order was ready.the girl said nope and i stood aside as 10-15minutes went past people that ordered after me got their food before me so i asked again and there my food has been standing." i wrote the number wrong on you bag"Very unprofessional really
Honestly the staff is extremely moody, they rude, they can't even place a proper order, they give wrong food as well, female name is Shannon, extremely moody and she has a whole attitude with customers.
Love hungry lion....at times the place is too full...should add more till points to prevent long queue
