Don't belive the haters. Booked online for a passport for 1pm appointment. Arrived at 12h30. Guard let's you in at 1pm. Took about an 1hr all done. The walk in lines was not that long. The collections line for some reason was not moving. Overall the system at this home affairs works. Just be patient.

Good Morning. My wife was turned away this morning by the security officer because she did not had her appointment details on a phone. But she have the reference number when i booked an appointment from my computer. I do not think this is fair. It's not that she did not make an appointment.

Mixed. Passport renewal process was a great experience, despite complications. Very friendly and efficient staff. Mr Williams, was particularly professional and helpful. Booked online for 10am. They let us in at 10.10am. Out by 11am. If I hadn’t of had complications, it would have probably been done by 10.45. Pickup was a different story. Organised, but terribly slow. Arrived 10.30, out just after 1.30. Clearly understaffed - one guy doing the jobs of three people.

After completing a booking online, i arrived in my time slot. Application took about a hour max. Same for collection 2 weeks later. Very impressed with the service here, best i have experienced so far. Keep up the great work!

I completed my online application via Ehomeaffairs and payment through my online bank. Made an appointment for 9-10 am for my biometrics and to obtain a receipt. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. This branch is efficient and staff are kind and helpful!

Waited in line for 4 hours to apply for a passport. I was told to come back tomorrow to make the payment because the cashier is closing on-time no matter how slow everyone works. I would give 0 stars if I could.

This is my second visit to DHA in 2 months. 1st visits was for passport biometrics and photos, second visit was on the 20th October 2022. Both visits took me under 15 minutes to complete. the 2 ladies at the reception desk that received me was extremely friendly together with the male security guard who always assists outside. Candice made is quick and easy for my very nervous 16 year old daughter. The guy at the fingerprints and photos got out of bed on the wrong side though. On both visits he was grumpy didn't show any consideration for the fact that my daughter is a 16 year old and don't know the process. everything else was perfect.

OMG!!!!!!!.... the best in the country I tell you, I had an appointment at 10 made online I went there prepared for the worst as what we all have come to expect as individuals based on our personal experiences with Government departments, now let me tell you, I was in inside at 10 and by 11 I was done, I was shocked too. Khayelitsha, Home affairs you the best, I don't mean the building but the staff, My fellow black people made me so proud....you guys are amazing!!!!

Booked through BABS and had a super pleasant experience. Despite dealing with a completely dysfunctional Home Affairs system that tends to crash every 5 minutes, the staff do their very best to assist. We ran into a platform problem on our son's passport submission and all the staff and the supervisor Mrs Chwayi Ta Somjalisa went above and beyond to resolve it with Headquarters. Thank you Mrs Chwayi Ta Somjalisa for your outstanding service!

arrived 10:30, inside at 11:56 if you book online, you can get in early, went upstairs to id queue and was seen 14:30 ... 4h later better than some departments... but we were refused to note our adoption... so you can go there for other things
