Thoroughly enjoyed koro koro when we camped there 20 years ago, so decided it is time for another visit. What a disappointment!! I have tried to request a booking on their web site twice and almost a week later I have had no reply, I have also tried to phone about 6 times but one number has a message stating that the number does not exist and the other goes straight to voice mail. I am surprised they are still in business if this is the attitude of the 'new' owners. I will not be trying to book any longer, I will have my holiday elsewhere, where the owners reply to requests. Zero stars from me.
Very calming, place was not really full the peace and tranquility was refreshing. I would recommend the place, we did not have loud music issues like the previous reviews and no day visitors as well over the weekend I was there. The pool needed some maintenance though. Great place.Rooms: 4/5
Booking quick and easy via whatsapp, staff helpful and friendly. Campsite is located well off the main road, so very little road noise unlike some of the other campsites in the area. Stands are nice and spacious. Ablutions are nice and clean, with lots of hot water. Good scullery area as well. Visited on heritage day weekend, so they had a jumping castle for kids next to campsite swimming pool. Heritage day celebration at main reception area resulted in thumping music the whole day. The next day had a large party with day visitors taking over the campsite pool. Very loud music again. Not sure if this is the norm for weekends. So nice campsite to visit if you like loud music.
Say they have a warm water swimming pool, when all of the swiming pools is cold. Lot of thorns where you camp, can't walk barefoot. Swimming pool at caravans stand is dirty. Sluggish on the floor, a lot of the campers slide and hurt themselves while getting in or out in the pool, including my wife.
Bush camp is for peace and quiet and the experience we have is noisy until late in the night, day visitors and camping don't work together. It was the worst camping and I will never recommend this place to caravan campers. Management can't control the place
After spending a long weekend at the lodge we were disappointed, loud music was playing day and night, day visitors constantly entered the campsite using the swimming pool, leaving their glass bottles and cans laying everywhere on the grass around the pool. After trying to complain to management we found that they either could not assist or did now even answer the phone. we will never return and advise serious campers not to go there, you will be disappointed.
Fairly spacious campsites. Ablution need serious upgrade. Two pools . Cold at campsite, warm at restaurant/reception area. Playground for kids. We had 3 parties who celebrated 40th birthdays. Noisy crowd. Would have appreciated timeous warning of same in order to postpone our booking.
We spent the last weekend in September 2015 at the lodge, camping in a tent. It was brilliant. Our well marked grassy campsite was just across the road from the jungle gyms and cold water swimming pool. So it was easy to keep an eye on my preschool boys while preparing food. We spent most of our time underneath a wonderful shady tree next to the cold water pool as it was really hot. I was impressed with the built braais on each camp site. They were well built and cleaned every day. The ablutions were also brilliant, each shower is in it's own little room and each toilet as well, making the whole dilemma of mommy taking a 5 year old boy to the loo non existent. She could also take the boys for their showers etc. The staff was very sincere and friendly and helpful. They even had a little schedule of events to help entertain the children during the weekend. All in all I can't wait to go back!!!
Very friendly staff and a very quite experience. Very well priced. 2 pools walking trails and bar/entertainment area. A little more to keep youbg kids busy would be great, but if you looking for a quite only thing to do is rest break away from the city, this is the place to go
In the hands of new owners and promising to improve more to the higher level, you get accommodation, foods, there's swimming ‍ pool, pub, caravan park, situated around 20km from Bela-Bela, between Bela-Bela & Thabazimbi, safe place etc.
