What an absolute  gem. Beautiful setting next to the Suikerbosrand river to relax body, mind and soul. Vida and Johan the perfect hosts. The presentation on the food is just on point and the flavour leaves an urge for more. Attention to derail. This is 5 star cuisine . Swam in the river, went Hiking and mountain bike riding. This is a must visit just outside the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg. Will definitely be back. Well done

What an amazing experience. First class service from Johan, the owner. The cabin is well equipped with all that it's needed. Nature at it's best. Thank you Johan and Vida, we have enjoyed our stay very much. Your place is well looked after, everything was perfect

Very relaxed, minimalistic, close, out of town with a fair rate that is not easy to find these days. Although you can do self catering I would highly recommend their breakfast, dinner & picnic basket option. The food get served to your cottage and is again fairly priced but the taste will leave you wanting more ‍

Just what we wanted. Excellent bird watching venue with close to nature stayover facilities at a resent price. The food is excellent!

We really enjoyed the surprise birthday picnic today. Johan definitely went out of his way to make it really special especially with the food. The view was breathtaking and very relaxing. Will definitely recommend this little gem. Thank you for the enjoyable experience Johan!! :

First class service from the owner's. Need only bring lights  Battery tipe or a lamp for the mood . It's a back to basics stay  warm water at least . Gas stove , gas geyser and nice stone house. Well kept bed's  not the worn out mattresses found at some . Basic cutlery and crockery. All and all a worthwhile trip.

Lovely getaway from the busy city life! Beautifully rustic, fell asleep with the sound of a roaring river. Delicious homemade cheese and salami available at the deli. Roaming cattle and sheep on the farm, we even had the privilege to pet a 7 day old lamb. The owner, Johan, is very friendly and accommodating if you forget / need anything.

Beautiful, relaxing environment and the picnic basket very tasteful and well presented.
