Ciabatta bread was the best. Ordered the salmon trout and scrambled eggs. It smelled fishy when the plate was first set down before me, so I was suspicious of its freshness. Otherwise, a beautifully decorated restaurant with artwork worth exploring.Food: 3/5
Friendly waiter, management was a bit aloof… nice light, decent size tables, tasty food. Portions are a bit small which made it feel a tad pricey… tasty though!
My final luncheon with my Besty. Italian it was, we received wonderful service and enjoyed the cuisine. Parking: Free private parking for the 3 shops in the centre
Food was good despite the order being slightly wrong. Would be a 5 star experience was it not for the service being quite tardy. Perhaps we had an inexperienced waitron. I ate the Gormet Salmon Avo, it was delicious and would certainly recommend.
Flawless. The food, staff and ambiance at Dolci was amazing. The pizza are fresh with a crispy base and a slight chew in the dough. All desserts were top class. Can highly recommend
This was my first time back probably since before the COVID lockdown and unfortunately I found it very disappointing. Compared to my previous experiences, the food was not nearly as good, and while the service was superb, it did not justify the significantly higher prices. The chicken liver starter was very nice with a well balanced heat from the chili. The accompanying bread was ok although there should have been more of it and it should've been softer and thicker cut. No butter in sight. The quattro stagioni pizza was exceptionally disappointing. While I admittedly request that the ham be exchanged for additional artichoke, I still want my pizza base to be crisp, or at the very least it should not be soggy... I had to use a knife and fork to eat the pizza for the first, and hopefully last time. I was pleasantly surprised with the off-the-cuff cocktail created for a fellow diner... Sipho makes an amazing almost pina colada. On the other hand, my own single shot of tequila was served warm. Overall, I'm afraid that Dolci Cafe has gone from being "a bit pricey but highly recommended" to "overpriced and best-avoided".
The prices for the quantity and quality of food are outrageous. My starter calamari included 6 tubes and 4 heads for a whopping R175 and was really just ok. We won’t be returning surprised they still have customers
3 tubes of Calamari in the starter portion at R175... Even the waiter looked embarrassed. I looked around to see if it was a prank. The chef couldn't care less either, shouting and swearing at her staff.Food: 1/5
Truffle pasta and gnocchi is a must! Their signature dessert is out of this world. Great atmosphere and attention to detail
Incredible Italian food! Make sure you book a table as it's unlikely you'll be seated as a walk-in. Once you're seated, prepare yourself to eat some of the tastiest food you'll ever have.Food: 5/5
