It's easier to judge a store when you visit it more than once... Spar Leondale is always at its best.. They might not have all the items like bigger supermarkets but what you will find it's the best.. From staff to management.. Keep it
The only two negatives I have are: goods that I'd prefer to be freshly baked every daydoughnuts and the likes are hardly as fresh and appetizing as I'd like them to be. Secondly, the vegetables are hardly fresh. Besides that, this is a great local store to get simple foods like milk and bread, also snacks and other items that you may need at home.
They must do something with their dairy products it's always expired
Service are good ,workers dedicated to their job ,keep it up
CLEAN AND SMOOTH SERVICE EVERYDAY
The baked items are atrocious. Pies are always burnt and have too much pastry. We eventually decided to stop buying them. Terrible service, always at this counter. The Chelsea buns which I used to buy have also changed and are just below awful and where is the icing. More than once I've seen expired items on the shelves in the fridges.
To get a trolley to shop in this Spar you have to have a R5 coin to release it from a securing chain, if you do not carry coins then you have to use the handheld basket no matter the number of items. Do not forget to bring a some coins when you come for your shopping at this Spar.
This is usually my favourite spar to buy chips from, but today shem was the worst. I ordered chips and Firstly the service from the two ladies there was extremely bad, they sounded rude, secondly the chips they serviced where never like the usual chips we usually get from buying at leondale spar. The chips where small for the usual price, as they had complained that there's no chips and we must wait, but we waited for the worst. Chips that had pieces of black things, like previous things that were fried and not removed from the chips. It's like the oil wasn't cleaned when making the chips, it was more dried thin chips than the usual. Yoh my experience was the worst from these ladies. They gave us bad service and bad chips, not sure if it's because they wanted to knock off early as it was a Friday.. but even the people in the que, were not impressed. Angikho right, I'm crying for my money and wishing it was other people who were on duty, to service the usual great chips. It's people like these two ladies that cost shops to lose business.
