The store is very clean and items well displayed staff very helpful and friendly when seeking information regarding items
Very poor experience this time around never had any problems before but today was different. The reason being is that the more for less sale items were not registering for some reason and the cashier's had to enter everything manually which took forever. No one tells you the system is down just leave you stranded to wait for hours untill you get to the front eventually it took to long and I left with two trolleys full !!Makro you can do better than this .the excuse was it's not registering with head office they don't work on weekends so now everyone including the staff have to suffer . Very dissatisfied and disappointed .
For convenience we choose for our orders to be delivered. However, this last experience has assured that we will no longer purchase delivery orders from Makro. All our orders are online from various retailers who deliver speedily and efficiently, but never have we experienced such a dismal and time-wasting effort such as this. Two months later we are still waiting for our paid order after communicating countless times with various Makro staff members, who always say they will get back to us but then disappear never to be heard from again. Countless emails, which fade away and countless contacts via the Makro online chat. The online chat promised that the order was going to be delivered each day we made contact, however, we did not hear from anyone again regarding delivery. We are now waiting for the last Makro contact to get back to us, which he promised to do three days ago. I am about to waste my valuable time again and call Makro call centre. I have also asked for the Manager's contact details but to no avail. Normally we only like to give great reviews but out of desperation, we are seeing if Makro can either deliver our order or refund us.
What a horrible experience today. Priority checkout was 1 person this afternoon around 3pm fairly long q. The paypoint person was as miserable as hell. No assistance with carrier bags I did unfortunately lose it and embarrassed myself. I have never known such terrible service throughout the store staff was always pleasant and was a joy to shop there. If possible will never shop there again. Actually no Makro the others are awful
Bad customer experience from the cashiers and their supervisors at this store. Each time I visit the store I encounter a problem of price difference when they scan an item and when I tell the cashiers about the price labelled at the shelf they get annoyed and drag their feet to go and check. After verifying the supervisor called someone on the phone to authorize the change and at the time you’re still standing without even an apology from anyone. Same thing happened to me today where I bought a combo deal but the discount didn’t minus at the till and I had to stand for 20 mins for rectification The cashier repeatedly insisted the special is finished until she checked the catalogue I fell like I was undermined and treated as if I did not know what I was saying The lady supervisor didn’t even greet me when she was called for assistance
Horrific customer service for online orders. No communication at all provided by staff. We had to do their job and follow up on updates. When following up staff members are extremely rude with simple matters. Would never order online again. Doesn't even deserve one star rating. 2-5 day delivery service is a lie.
My Sodastream is not carbonising properly. I returned the product on 10/11/22. Amazingly they send everything away for inspection. I phoned them today, holding on for 15 minutes and then they could not find my referente number. I additional, apparently I got through to the national call centre....I asked the guy for the correct number and he give me exactly the same number. Now I need to go back to the store.
I ordered online and only got one of the two items I ordered. It was delivered via DSV locker who I had to chase up and down to have an explanation as to why they didn't deliver the second item. It has been a month since I placed the order. DSV closed my query without delivering the second item. Makro won't answer their calls. Makro Riversands won't answer their phone. They basically just stole my money. Don't trust Makro or DSV.
Ordered a screen online, they use WumDrop to deliver, most useless delivery company in south africa, been waiting 2 weeks for my ddelivery, now they just say its been handed over to the courier but no one can tell me where it is or when i will get it, Will never order something through makro online again.
ALL of the Beeno boxes were removed from my order. I am yet to receive ANY explanation. Then I get an email saying refund processed as requested??? I know it's hard to believe, but usually when someone orders an item, and the order is processed and paid for, they expect it to be delivered, or at least to be told what the reason is for removing the items. And there is absolutely NO way that I or any of my dogs requested a refund on the Beeno biscuits. Your driver was awesome, but that does not make up for the totally shocking service from the team processing my order.
