Great place, friendly staff and it's quite affordable. I loved waking up to the view of the beach too. My only problem was the "room service". My son spilled some tea on the covers and I folded it thinking they'd take it in for laundry. Come bed time I realized that they didn't actually change the cover they just flipped it over and tucked it between the two beds . Also can "room service" also include vacuuming the carpet.

The lodge has a horrible smell, The curtains and windows are filthy, The wifi is useless, When we were checking in, we were told that we have to pay R30 for over night parking. House keeping staff just barge into the room without knocking, The shower is horrible; water coming from the shower head is rough. The staff is polite and very helpful. The lodge has a beautiful view. The rooms are nice and big. It's located in a very convenient area.

We needed a place just to rest and freshen up and the Marine Lodge was great. Awesome customer service and very clean but the area was not in the best part of the town. The room had the most beautiful view though so the room rate was definitely value for money.

Nice sea view near to restaurants and gym

The pictures you see online are nothing like the real thing. The sliding doors are filthy, showers heads broken, furniture worn... Not worth the money at all. I would advice any one planning to book to not go by the images they see online. The young lady at the reception was rude and inconsiderate, not welcoming at all. The only good thing about my stay was the reason I came to East London, not the accommodation.

This hotel is closer to most places,your Spar supper markers...windmil...even Virgin Active and many more and walking distance to the beach as well...Rooms: 5/5

Room was nice and big. just few setbacks. Gate to come in and out was not working and had to blow hooter and wait to get someone's attention and when coming back in at night same story luckily security opened. Room was full of miggies and balcony covered in building dust and had to keep door closed so that it didn't blow back in as we were informed that there was no one here to clean just after 4 in the afternoon.
