Maroela Guest House Thabazimbi

Estie and her personnel were very friendly, professional and very accommodating towards our special requests. Rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable. The scenery and gardens were beautiful and breathtaking. It would have been very helpful if there were a hairdryer in the room. The accommodation is highly recommended due to its professionalism, location and services rendered .

This is an ABSOLUTE gem!!!! Do NOT visit Limpopo province without making a stop at Maroela Guest Lodge!!!! Not only is the accommodation with its awesome environment PERFECT, but the hospitality of the owners and food tops even the perfect bush veld surrounding. A MUST SEE!!!! Again, the food is a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10!!!!

We were disappointed with the damp, paint and cement smell of the room, although we paid in full, we did not stay as I have lung problems and would not be able t sleep in a newly painted place that were not ventilated at all. The site around the deck was extremely untidy, and still looked like a building site. There were no towels in the room. The owner undertook to refund me, but up to date I have had no response. We went to another lodge, who received us with finesse even if it was well after hours, and for the same price we were housed in a beautifully furnished clean ensuite and living area with a outstanding breakfast included.

I lay in the bed in room 1 as I write this review. This guest house has alot of pros and is one of the better ones I've stayed in Fair priced around R900 for bed and breakfast in 2021 Decent wifi Decent dstv package Great view Large aircon 2 bottles of water Spacious nice rooms Some small things I didn't enjoy. Soap dispenser is in the shower and you have to go through the water to get the soap it's how the shower is set up? They give you coffee in a refilled container. I saw a roach Room 1 is above a kuier area so the people beneath me were slightly annoying

The owner tries her Best, which adds to it but I'm afraid the place is desperate need of a revamp, we had no hot water at first then no water at all. Plus we had a major electrical short on our roof causing the lights to blinker. And the photos on the website are incorrect of what the place looks like. As mentioned a major revamp and the place will be on point.
