Have tried them twice before. Their prices reasonable - serve fresh meat. They're quite busy - service fast. Maar they need to improve cleanliness - kungcolile shame!

After almost two years of shopping from this place regularly, today I learned that this business is being run by nasty politician like-minded people. I am very annoyed and disappointed by today's experience. I went shopping, left a parcel by the door. Unfortunately I lost the parcel card. The lady at the parcel counter told me to go back and look for it. I did as she said, but I wasn't winning and time really wasn't on my side so I went to one of the guys on the management team and he told me I had to pay R15 for compensation. I was very disappointed and I know this guy did not miss that. I guess he really wanted the R15. What really infuriorated me is that when I went to pick the parcel with the paid receipt, one of the stuff members was just returning the "precious card". What is my opinion?. I find the whole act unethical, insensitive and exploitive. Clearly, these guys don't value their clients. Maybe too busy to care?. I personally wouldn't leave another one of my pennies to such nasty businesses. I have been buying my food here, it's important to me that whoever supplies my food has a decent level of humanity. I mean, don't get me wrong there's gotta be consequences for our actions. I lost a cardboard piece scribbled with a magic marker, taped around and I have to pay R15???.Is that to replace the materials and labour put into creating the tortem ?. Is that to teach me a lesson, to spite me or simply to exploit me??. Shame.

Unhealthy and unhygienic conditions. I stayed a block away at Kings Crossing for 2years and I know better...I went almost around closing time a few times to get cold drink or bread...As meat was unpacked from display fridges to the cold room I was stunned how same meat is handled i was tempted to record them. Dirty white blood soaked bins used to throw meat inside while staff in hurry to knock off. Normal hose used to spray the meat display and the pipe itself looked dirty. Yak...very unclean but typical of 99.9% bucheries next to taxi ranks everywhere. Check it out yourself.

They have delicious bananas at fair prices. This is where I stock up on bananas for smoothies and banana bakes. I also buy pork trotters here occasionally. The shop also stocks other budget cuts of meat. They also have good customer service, the ladies are the tills are friendly.
