I ordered a side of honest fries, they were really tasty and well made. The margaritas were quite potent and delicious but I wish they did better with the salt rim. The service could be a lot quicker as the place wasn’t really full but we had to wait long for our waiter to come back and take our order. Price wise, it’s on the pricier side. I struggled to choose a meal as the menu wasn’t really enticing. I then ordered the battered hake and chips. I really enjoyed that. The interior of the place is really stunning, seems the perfect place for a date night or a fun jazz evening. I sat outside and enjoyed the views.
A real hidden gem if any!! Stepping into this place you feel as if you'd been whisked away and traveled back in time. Very captivating restaurant design with an old timey feel to it. I did not try the food at the place but the atmosphere and friendly service at this place earned it all the points. On the night I had went, there were a couple of some patrons birthdays and the choice of birthday songs chosen for them, coupled with the celebration ritual performed by the wait staff, is something to purely behold for yourself. Overall, I had a wonderful time at the potato shed, and will surely be returning to experience more of what this place has to offer.
Would highly recommend!!! Some may find the menu a bit pricey but for the portions, quality and amazing taste of the dishes we had it was well worth it. The cocktails were delicious I would recommend the Jazz Town. The asthetic is very nice and the outside area is well lite. Makes for a perfect date night restaurant.
Very nice food and drinks! Quite reasonably priced, although some of the meat dishes do cost ZAR 200+. They have a plethora of sides, and the sweet potato fries are AWESOME. Only reason for the 4 stars is because the one spud had some sauce that burnt on the plate the actual spud was very nice.
After a long day at work today decided to try out this spot with friends. Firstly, there was was no one to welcome me at the door and all glass doors were closed so had to figure my way in and find my friends at the table. Took forever to receive a menu or refreshments. Our waiter was very absent and we had to ask for assistance the whole night. Food took forever to be served. We ordered starters and they took forever to come out. Mains took just as long to be served. Highlight of the evening: thoroughly enjoyed crispy squid heads for starters and the restrooms were clean. Music was also great.
We decided to go in for an early supper on Saturday. There was ample seating available. The staff was friendly and attended to us timeously. The food was prepared quick quickly. The menu has a wide variety of items. For my main, I had a mushroom and potato stud with cheese. The portion was decent and was served with the frying pan. The potato was good but felt it could have been cooked for a little bit more. The mushroom was good. For dessert I had the choc99. This is a cone cup filled with vanilla ice cream and 2 pieces of flake with chocolate sauce. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options but they are limited Parking: Secure parking in polofields crossing Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is wheelchair accessible
The place is lovely with good sitting and lovely views of waterfall. The service however is pathetic, takes long to order and get served. Need to improve big time on this. I had rump steak, asked for medium to well and got a very dry steak. Communication from the kitchen is not good either when resolving orders. Otherwise the other orders were lovely, price is not too bad either for the food.
Terrible experience here. Upon entry we were greeted and asked to sit outside. We were excited as live music was plying but quickly found out that we did not have a waiter. We had to call multiple waiter to assist us and the manager also took our order. They got our starters order wrong and when we asked a waiter to assist us, he complained that he wasn't our waiter and said that he doesn't want to do it. Our food took more than an hour to arrive for something as simple as burgers. We then asked one of our multiple waiters for a dessert menu. The dessert to share to another hour to arrive. The fastest service we got was the bill in the end, which seemed to break all speed barriers and arrived as soon as we asked for it. The only reason they get 2 stars is that their food wasn't bad, but the service is absolutely garbage.
Well themed, a great view from most seats and the DJ makes for a great vibe. Not the greatest seat when cold/coldish as most of it is open. Gatsbys looked great on the menu but were slightly disappointed a bit cold, dry and no other sauce besides tabasco for the table which left me envious of my friend's burger order the burger. The oysters were great fresh and flavourful. A good experience but not cheap and not my favourite restaurant in the shopping centre.
The place and atmosphere is absolutely beautiful we enjoyed the live band performance. Didn’t really enjoy their food and dessert wasn’t nice. Overall it was a great vibe and place. will give it a second.
