The service at Mount Pleasant Engen has dropped sadly, normally everyone is friendly and very helpful but of late it is not so. I went out tonight to buy gas and came across an employee waving his arms at me. When I stopped he said "No gas" at which all the other employees loitering around the window burst into laughter. I felt embarrassed and drove to the SASOL garage and bought gas there thinking I am going to limit my purchases at the Engen to essentials only.
I want to caution anyone planning to use this petrol station to be extremely careful with their transactions. My mother had a terrible experience here over the weekend. She asked for R500 worth of fuel, but when she tapped her card, she noticed that they charged her R968.25. When she questioned the attendant about the amount, he admitted it was a mistake. However, the real problem started when my mother tried to get her refund. The office management refused to take accountability and claimed that it was my mother's fault for not checking the amount before tapping her card. It took a long, frustrating 40 minutes of my mother arguing with them to get her refund for the wrongful charge. To make things worse, there was another woman in the office who seemed to be facing the same problem, and the management was equally unhelpful to her. I find it entirely unacceptable that the attendants are making such mistakes and that the management is making it incredibly difficult for customers to get their rightful refund. This experience has left a terrible taste in my mouth, and I would caution anyone planning to use this petrol station to be extra vigilant. Make sure to double-check your receipts and the amount charged on the card machine before entering your pin. It's unfortunate to have such poor service and management, and I would not recommend this petrol station to anyone.
I always fill up here. Staff is friendly and helpful. Also quick to get assisted and usually quick in and out... which I suppose is what you want at a petrol station.
Of all the service stations I have ever visited during my forty years of driving, I have yet to come across such truly amazing attendants. Always a friendly smile, a polite greeting and they go out of their way to be helpful. Thanks guys, you are the best!

We would like to express our gratitude to your forecourt staff Luyo and Khayasorry if wrong spelling for their assistance today when our fuel Guage didn't register full . They were both professional, polite and very patient with us. On going over a speed bump the Guage went up. Way to go guys...keep up the excellent work.
Staff are always friendly, no matter what mood you are in when filling your car at this Engen you are guaranteed to drive away with a smile on your face.
Super friendly and helpful forecourt staff. the cashiers however are the worst. Just this morning I got something i bought thrown in my direction because I asked for it at the fuel window as i had car problems and couldn't switch off my car the lady barks at me asking what I want then throws it at me and turns back around. I've managed fuel stations and know that it isn't very hard to find cashiers with manners instead of rude ones.
Great service, cashier always have smiles on there faces ready to help..
