Mount Sheba, A Forever Lodge

Everything was absolutely outstanding. Our cottage was incredible. There was every thing we needed and more. So cosy and comfortable and immaculately clean. The food from the Hotel was delicious. The staff could not be more courteous and kind and helpful. The hikes we did were insanely beautiful. All in all it was one of the most perfect 4 days of my life and I couldn't recommend Mount Sheba more. Ten out ten. Outstanding. Thank you Rooms: Outstanding. Cosy, spotlessly clean. Just the best. There was every thing we needed and more Nearby activities: The hikes were incredible. Pilgrims Rest a lovely little place to visit Safety: 100% safe Walkability: We walked alot!

Gorgeous Lodge, gorgeous location, lovely staff. The road to the lodge is very rough and Rocky-maintained by the municipality so not the lodges fault, but it's a deterrant if you do not have a car that can manage the 10km stretch. Turn down services are amazing! And the hikes, trails and general views are incredible. Generally the lodge needs a few more visible signage, signs are too small. Would also suggest updating technology in terms of the TV to support Netflix/YouTube etc. And more vegetarian options in the menus.

The place is worth every coin. It was remote, beautiful and professional. They have alot of activities. Loved the hiking and marca trail. Nearby activities: God's window is nearby and amazing place to visit. Walkability: You can take walks in the property it's beautiful.

What a Beautiful and serine place full of nature and many hikes in a rain forest. Birdlife is plenty full. The Swimming pool is so clean and cold, worth a swim in this time. I will definitely come again soon!!

It was truly such a stunning place to be at. The views are insane, the monkeys are naughty and the air is fresh. It’s one of the best places to go to whenever you need an escape, it’d be more fulfilling with a partner. However we were not treated accordingly when it came to checking out because not only was my family accused of “stealing” a towel but another family as well, there’s no way we travelled all the way from Free State to steal a towel. My family and I suspect the caretaking ladies for the inconvenience. Regardless of that misunderstanding, it truly was a beautiful place to have stayed at.

Unfortunately way outdated and falling apart. Expect old and beat up not antique but old furniture. The location is absolutely amazing but the resort leaves little to be desired. It really needs owners with a great love for the area, a proper upgrade of almost everything . From the dirty old carpet in the rooms, old furniture, plastic dining tabled and cheap table cloth. The staff are amazing. So there's something to start from.

Misty, green, plenty of really good trails. Good food. Secluded from crowded cities. The nature walk through a rain forest was an unforgettable experience. It was easy for a senior citizen

We loved the breakaway to Mount Sheba! The rooms were beautiful and had everything we needed. We found the Semango monkeys quite entertaining. Just be aware that they are show-offs and would grab your food under your nose : The hiking trials were amazing! From waterfalls to mine shafts to caves to rainforest.. loved it. The provincial road leading to the lodge is a bit bumpy and not in great condition, though. Driving slower solved that issue Rooms: Very neat and clean, had everything we needed Safety: Never felt unsafe, even while doing the hikes
