Didnt want to open a case for my smashed car window
First time I went there, I went to certify something and I was in the for less than 5 minutes the service was great and the lady was nice. Today was my second time at the station and I was assisted by a man who kept interrogating me whilst I only came to certify a certificate. There was also a lady that was arrogant and she kept yelling at me for absolutely no reason, when I tried to explain that I only came to certify, she insulted me. If I could I'd give zero stars.
Quick and efficient, had a great time here except why do we have to dictate these loooong reports of incidents? Cant we just make a short 1min video, ne?
Tried calling Rondebosch police and the number listed is incorrect. I called Mowbray police @2am to report drunk people throwing stones at windows and shouting. Officer that answered the call was efficient in getting info from me and had a patrol vehicle on scene within 3mins. The perps heard the vehicle coming and ran away. I heard the vehicle come past a few more times to check. Very fast response for non serious/violent crime. Also coming back to check they have not returned was very thorough. Keep it up guys
Came in to report a car accident of someone who crashed into US. Took about 5 minutes before the one officer out of the 4 sitting there actually got off their chairs to get a file. Then he extremely rudely YELLED at my girlfriend because she mistook EXACT location of the accident, even though we gave th correct street name and landmark. Then we were accused of being disrespectful because we didnt want to be shouted at for no reason. Imagine walking into your local station, in shock, having almost been killed, and the police who are meant to be helpful, yell and scream at you. They even threatened to ARREST US, claiming we were "lying" because we didnt know the exact road number and name. Like really? Useless. Tax money well spent.
If I could I would rate them with 0 stars. This happened during the time of the Rhodes Memorial rapes and the numerous muggings in the Mowbray and Rosebank area. Three friends and I reported a case of a man in a grey car we noted the make, the license plate and the shade of grey that was following and staring inappropriately at us in the Rhodes park area. At the police station we were ridiculed and not taken seriously at all. It was unprofessional to say the least but most of all concerning, it left one wondering what exactly it was that was needed to be taken seriously. As a result I will not be returning to that station or making use of their services again.
I have only ever had positive experiences when utilising Mowbray SAPS. The service is very efficient, courteous and professional. I am happy with the helpful manner in which the police officers are willing to assist.
This place is absolutely useless. I’ve had 3 different incidents, ranging from an armed robbery to squatters, where they didn’t respond even after making numerous calls to the police station. They say they will send a vehicle out and they never do. I live 30 meters away from this station and they refuse to respond. This place is an absolute disgrace!
This is one of the closest police stations from The University of Cape Town---very handy for police reports and document certification. However, they stole one of my bicycle headlights, when I parked right outside the police station: I thought this was very sad!
Rude, arrogant and useless, saw someone breaking into the property opposite on my security cameras and they wouldn't even send a car to check it out.
