MTN - Northgate Shopping Mall

This is a convenient shopping centre…. There are no fancy designer stores, just your everyday cheap shops. I came here by chance and will probably never be that side again, but I enjoyed my shopping here. The is No undercover parking, and navigating the centre is simple.

While you won't find all the designer stores you will find in Fourways Mall it is certainly a much more convenient shopping experience. The parking is free and without hassle. The mall has plenty of entrances which allows for a quick in and out experience for those in a rush. The ice rink and Cinemax are major attractions.

Northgate Mall/Centre is a very modern big shopping centre north of Johannesburg,and north of Randburg CBD,from Malibongwe Drive,Ferndale,close to Honeydew,Fourways and Sandton areas.It has a wide variety of retail outlets,including good restaurants/fastfood outlets with a food court/sitting down area,a seperate KFC and McDonald's with drivethrus at the back of the main centre,a cinema,a good icerink for ice skating,Checkers and Pick 'n Pay Hypermarket being it's anchor tenants,with ample safe and secure parking outside,and a parkade,with taxi services available there too,and brand new built Engen service stations2022 in the front and at the back.It has a major car buying/selling dealership at the Dome called WE BUY CARS for very good deals next to the main centre.A highly recommended shopping experience,especially for tourists coming to Johannesburg and surrounds!

Large variety of shops. The locking of doors and having to work out where to exit or where to enter when all doors locked is a lot annoying. Beware if you're a woman and need to use the loo. Toilet doors are faulty or broken. Toilet paper sticking out of the walls plugging holes...I swear some of the clubs I went to when I was a wee uni student, where you had to hover over the thing to not catch anything while peeing, were much much better. Dare I say, cleaner too. Do better Northgate Mall!

*NOTE* THIS IS NOT A REVIEW FOR NORTHGATE BUT KRISPY KREME INSIDE CHECKERS STORE So happy that this is an addition to the mall! Obviously won't have the full range of drinks, but at least having their awesome coffee closer to home, is a bonus. And who doesn't love their doughnuts?

Disappointed, while I know we are living with challengers between loadshedding and no water, I was shocked to find out you closed the restrooms in the mall due to no water. I left Northgate abruptly. At the same time a father was in desperate need for his 8 year old son to use the rest room and turned him away, shocking. Shame on you NG, I don't think ill be back How on earth

Love the variety of shops. Just a pity milky lane and a few others have closed.

Not the cleanest and the car guards are on your case before you even exit your vehicle. I did not feel safe.

Good quiet walk and shop day . Nice mall with a little bit of everything you could need.

Despite municipalities issuing warnings about water shortage, Northgate made NO PREPARATION for this, and posted security guards to prevent people entering the toilets. I had an urgent need but the female security guard was not interested and told me she had been instructed to stop people, even the elderly like me, from entering the toilets. Disgusting customer treatment. WHERE WERE WE SUPPOSED TO GO????
