Terrible branch to visit, and now it's even worse after the renovations. I sat and waited for an hour and 40 minutes to open a business account. It's not the wait that bothers me. I was not once given an indication as to which staff member would assist me, how long the "queue" is etc. I did not receive a ticket ,however, those that did were complaining as the ticketing system stopped functioning. Maybe FNB would like my business.
Extremely slow. Certain staff have terrible attitudes. Branch opened at 08:30. I was the first person in the branch, as the doors opened, but was made to wait until 09:20 to be served. Absolutely shocking.
Terrible service. Staff unfriendly and did not even fully assist me as I had to go to another branch where I was assisted. The bankers was extremely rude and made you feel as if you were not on their level. Will never go to this branch again.
If you’re travelling overseas and are money savvy please do not use Nedbank! I applied for a travel card at Nedbank obviously to save money while I’m abroad and not get charged unnecessarily, since Nedbank charges a percentage of your purchase plus a cross-boarder fee. I was given the card and nobody felt the need to tell me that the card is not compatible with Apple Pay nor does it have a tap feature. I went to the UK where most, if not all payment methods are contactless. The transport system only allows you to tap and go so you can’t insert your card on the bus or when using a train. While in the UK I called Nedbank and I was told they cannot help me there’s nothing they can do as it’s a new card. I was then told by the consultant Sharona Subbiah to just use my normal debit card. If I wanted to use my debit card and deal with the extra charges I wouldn’t have went through the trouble of getting a travel card. What I’m extremely irritated about is that on my application for the travel card I told the teller that I am also considering getting a Bidvest account for my travel and she told me that Nedbank is better but failed to tell me the lack of features on the card and that consultant just telling me they cannot help me there’s nothing they can do and leaving it at that! Really pathetic! Seems like Nedbank has pathetic service all round!
Awful service, seems as though it is who you know. 55 min to collect a card. Many very busy staff but only one attending to multiple queries. Forget about your number..

I applied for passports for me and my 2 children on E home affairs. Nedbank Durban North was one of the selected banks. I wanted to make a booking but it forced me to make payment first. Only once a I made payment of R1200 did I find out there are no bookings available at my selected Durban North Bank. After calling Nedbank, they confirmed that this branch does not do passports. I asked them to please refund me, which they refused to do and told me it's my responsibility to contact home affairs. Why is this branch allowing their customers to be tricked like this? Home affairs said they can't do refunds. Now I have to take my 2 small children with me to a busy home affairs in the middle of covid. I am very disappointed that Nedbank refuses to take any responsibility for this.
Shocking. Paid for renewal of my passport and new ID. Only to find out this branch doesn't do bookings anymore.. Take yourself off the DHA as a listed bank!! Poor to not guide your customers properly and waste their time and money. Glad I have moved to Investec!
I had a really good experience at the Nedbank Durban North branch today. They are following covid-19 procedures very well. I felt protected in the bank due to all the safety measures they had taken. The staff were also all incredibly friendly. Such a wonderful experience.
