Section A was really good, had a nurse named Lebo and she was brilliant, really passionate about her job. The overall experience was bad imo, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. However there are really good nurses, Noluxolo is also another. 2 more nurses that I really like but whose names can't remember. Only reason it gets 3 stars was because of a bad experience and negligence but was resolved and satisfied.
Mulbarton hospital is like a public hospital, bad treatment from staff members. I am suffering from headaches and can't sleep or do anything. They used my medical aid money and sent me home without providing me with help. They sent me home even when i am on my death bed. They don't care at all. The doctor who was assisting me yesterday night at casualty was not helping at all. She told me i was not responding to the medication but still gave me the same meds. As we speak, i am sick at home and have no were to go for help
I’m so emotional right now. This hospital is the same as government hospital. I came here last month with an ambulance. I am pregnant and was bleeding. They helped me and discharged me after 00:00 then they said I should go home. I told them I came with an ambulance they gave me the blanket and told me to sit on the chair until I find transport. As pregnant as as I am, I had to sit on the chair for the rest of the night till 05:30 then I was able to go home
Worst experience ever!! I met in an accident couldn't move due to severe back pains A scoop was used to move me on and off the gurney..Ambulance proceeded to take me to mulbarton hospital..ER was a nightmare and when I eventually got attended to I was asked by the nurses in the X Ray department to get up and move beds while they could see I was in excruciating pain they didn't care and told me that I am wasting time, I eventually had to stick the pain and move beds to do the XRAY which confirmed I had a fractured in my spine in 2 places. Once that was confirmed I requested to be transferred to another hospital due poor service levels from about 11pm I requested to be transferred to another hospital the nurses kept saying they are waiting for authorization, my family had to phone the hospital I was going to,  to find out the delay only to find out the nurses at mulbarton did not even call the hospital to make the necessary arrangements, I was only transferred to another hospital the next day at 1pm. It has been a very traumatic experience From being in a terrible accident to Not being able to move due to my spinal fractures and then waiting for hours without being properly attended to. I will never ever go back to mulbarton hospital , the service levels are putrid.
General a good experience Everytime I had to visit or was admitted myself. Found that lately staff and nurses are so casual and patient with emergencies on two occasions with my family. Although it's a very neat and well kept hospital staff should actually act like they care? Visiting the pharmacy is a breeze as always but prices are relatively high compared to other pharmacies and food in the hospital.
Such a perthitic excuse of a hospital. the Doctor that seem is is one of the most useless doctors i have ever been to, 4 days I'm there, not once did the doctor know what was going on , I was released Monday doing 1 last minute blood test, its now Friday I'm still waiting for results. DONT ever go to there, especially if you expect to be sorted out in a timely manor, in 4 days i was there, she seem me maybe 1 minute a day and in that 1 minute asked me what tests were done, were are the results. i am the patient! I don't know what tests you asked the people to get done on me. I don't know where are the results, that's YOUR JOB as the Doctor! you are to provide me with feedback of which is now 4 days later and I'm still calling and trying to get feedback of which I'm told doctor will get back to me. waited the entire day for meds I asked for in the morning.
My husband was admitted at Mulbarton hospital in April 2022 and was hospitalised for almost 3 months. He was very ill on a ventilator and spent 2 months in ICU. The nursing care he received in ICU was excellent. The support that we received from nurses was world class and the doctors were fantastic. Nurses always encouraged us and showed us light when all we saw was darkness. I will always be grateful for all the love and care you showed us. Keep up the good work.
My mother was in for 2 weeks after having a stroke. The medical care was great. Nurses were 90% great. Communication was terrible. Nobody told us what was going on, except the neurologist who called us once to update us. They moved my mother from ward to ward without telling us where she was. Three weeks after my mother was discharged with partial paralysis from the stroke, I still cannot get a motivation letter from the physician who treated my mother at the hospital to allow my mother to go for physiotherapy to recover her mobility despite phoning every day for three weeks. The Dr is "too busy" to take 5 minutes to put pen to paper.
Express admission is fast & smart. Waiting for the doctor’s attention at the Emergency Section is a total nightmare. It’s like waiting for a Cancelled Flight ‍
Sec A, Theater staff, nursing staff, kitchen staff, Dr's, Anesthetist, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Gladys at reception went out of her way to help me. Sr Thelma in theater was very friendly. I will definitely recommend this facility to anyone. Dr Rawlins came immediately after my procedure to inform me of what is happening and Dr Marais the Anesthetist was friendly and professional
