I am currently in Cape Town and my dad was admitted last night by my aunt, today when I phone I get told by the nurse and the matron that they cannot provide me with information about my dad, when I am in charge of dealing with all his matters. Apart from not being able to hear them over the phone. I wish our government employees had to use their own services.

Doctors are great considering that they are overworked and probably stressed most of the time. The nurses in the wards on the other hand are pathetic. Rude, careless and absolutely apathetic to their work, human empathy or care. Very few nurses during my time there were actually caring and helpful. The rest should be ashamed to even call themselves health care professionals.

OPD Dirty, lacking maintenance, organisation and solid professional management. Slow service and uncaring attitude towards patients.. Pharmacy operates to its own rule and very often ignores the doctors prescribed medication.....

Waiting times for anything are ridiculous. The health care workers we dealt with were accommodating and did their best, but the entire system has been destroyed by the people at the top. The entire hospital is just very shabby and old, but mostly clean. Only one working x-ray machine, so expect a long wait for radiography. Overall, a demoralising experience.

Thank you to the very special doctors for going the extra mile for my mum, we really appreciate itp. Thank u to Dr Abdullah and Dr Latiff from casualty for assisting Mrs Ramnath on the 5/01/2023 and 08/01/2023. We need more doctors and nurses like you assisting in public hospitals.A heart full thank you to you guys from the family of Mrs Ramnath

Arrogant doctor/intern. My 74 year old mother who is afflicted by several serious ailments received the most appalling treatment by a young doctor/intern at room 5 today, 12 October 2022. Although it was earlier in the day he did not examine her and brushed off her complaints. During the consult he had a long personal chat with on the phone without apologizing. Furthermore althoughmy mother had previously received chronic treatment for psoriasis at Grey's Hospital and was advised to obtain a referral should it resurface which is currently the case, the said doctor stated that she was already receiving sufficient treatment for other ailments which did not entitle her to a further referral. He went so far as to accuse her of coming to "shop" at the hospital. This doctor ought to be suspended and dismissed for unprofessional conduct. Hopefully he will be identified and this matter addressed which is doubtful based on the poor reputation of this hospital.

Had my son their last week what a horrific experience, was denied pain medication, nurses were extremely rude. Was left in a room unattended after calling for help numerous times I was told "this is not a pvt hospital that they can just run and attend to me because I am not their only patient" this was after I was already 10 cm dilated and could already feel my baby coming out. Absolutely horrific, nurses have no compassion or value for human life.

Our baby girl 1year 3mnts struggling to breathe and no one cares, telling us to go wait. Arrived here 17:30 and we stilll waiting and its now 22:05. This hospital needs better people and to get organized. This place us usless ull come here and die.

Lights don't work,smells bad,bad food,hot inside the wards. Long waiting times.

My wife was rushed to hospital , unable to walk . according to her the staff was efficient in attending to her medical needs. Although they where short staffed none complained all they did was see to as many patients as they possibly could. My wife spent 17 hrs in the ER room , but was comfortable and well taken care of.Sometimes just a little patience goes a long way, the nurses and Doctors  are human just like us , all can't be perfect, but we can be satisfied at the end of the day Thanks to the attending Dr Harridaye Srn  Pillayou and sister ZondI
