Based in Parklands, Tableview, Cape Town and owned and run by husband and wife team, Dr Bobby Kurien and Dr Joselyn van Wyk, Northumberland Dental is more of a “dental studio” with exquisite decor, attention to detail, and cleanliness.

Our Cape Town dentistry boasts three surgery rooms with state-of-the art equipment, on-site laboratory, toilet, convenient wash areas, a comfortable waiting area that features a plasma TV (so that you don’t miss out on the latest sports game or soapie), and a children’s play room with plenty of activities to keep the children entertained.

Been going here for about 10 years now. I always see Joslyn, who is very friendly, personable and offers the best ‘painless’ injections in town! She is also good with kids as mine went there from a very young age. Their surgery is always very clean and they even require you to wear a hairnet and shoe covers for appointments. At first I thought it was a bit over the top but I have gotten used to it. They have the latest tech too so standard or 3D X-rays are done onsite. Lastly, they will always call/email you the day prior to your appointment as a reminder. This has saved me numerous times. Will continue to go here for myself and my family.
Best dentist I have ever been to in my life!!! I live in the Netherlands for 3 years now, I have been to a few dentists; wow what bad work & experiences in the Netherlands regarding dental… Joslyn and her team are the best, reception department was always so friendly; your work is 10 star & your kind follow up calls are top class Thought I had to come back here and comment as I always compare my dental experience to my times at your practice!
Excellent excellent service. The dental rooms are incredibly clean and staff is well organized. I have been suffering for a few years now with a root canal which was placed incorrectly by another dentist in town. I have not chewed on my left for close to 6 years and today i took my first pain-free and without discomfort chew. I am incredibly happy with my teeth and its taken a long time to get here. Also i absolutely love how friendly the staff is and that most of the time, the dentist will himself fetch you in the reception area. Its constant care, its empathy, its cleanliness and its efficiency. Recommend 200%
I would highly recommend Dr Joselyn van Wyk. Very professional and experienced. The ladies, Nicole and Tracy at reception are friendly and accommodating. Very happy patient, indeed!
Stop using consultation as an extra you can charge regardless of if it's necessary as I've been going there for several years and it's ludicrous that I keep being charged such high consultation fees! The overall service has also dropped from from the great service I have used to get. I have had my appointment rescheduled twice by the same dentist then last minute given to someone else who didn't do a great job fixing a crown that had fallen out after just 3 years. Numerous comebacks for fillings falling out.. Service is just not worth the high prices and unsatisfied work that's sub par and feels more like a rush job than an actual job done correctly. Overall I will take a my business elsewhere as many good dentists in the same area offer great reviews and once off consultation fee's and more affordable prices. Update : My tooth that was repaired not even a month ago has fallen out completely for the 2nd time. After calling to have them fix it they did not contact me after to explain that due to my recent review they will not be fixing the problem that they have caused. This service is by far the worst I have come across and just a warning to anyone going to not expect to have them fix your problem if you complain about it. 1 out of 10 stars for this place.
Very friendly staff from Receptionist to the Doctor rooms. Dr Van Wyk is a sweetheart and she's very patient. It was my son's first visit to the Dentist and she tried all means to make him comfortable. Thank you Doctor, you amazing

Truly the best experience I have ever had with a dentist. Dr. M. McCrae is phenomenal. I would highly recommend her to anyone in the area looking for a great dentist.
Called them with an emergency…they fitted me in when other local dentists couldn’t be bothered…they understood the discomfort I was in and made me feel welcomed. Service was very professional, friendly and reasonably priced. I will be going here from now on and so will the rest of the family.
By far the best experience I've had at a Dentist. Extremely professional and caring dentists. They adhere to the strictest hygiene standards. Had a root canal done and absolutely pain free. Would highly reccomend Dr Joselyn van Wyk. I've never liked going to the dentist but my experience at Northumberland Dental has changed that.
