New ownership and obvious changes are bringing the standard down. Staff are friendly and hard working but limited by rules on how they can accommodate customer preferences. There's no managers coming around to the tables either so you'll have to suffer in silence if you have a problem.
It was an important family gathering for us and this venue was ideal - quiet and not busy at all at the time. The device was excellent and the food well prepared which was served exactly to order. We will certainly visit the Highveld Ocean Basket when we are in the area again.

The food and the service is outstanding! No better Salmon Sashimi in town than at OB....
1 star is more what i should give.... I've been visiting the restaurant close to 7 years..... I'm a ocean basket fan. Reviewed the same restaurant gave it 5 out of 5. Prawns was way to salty squid heads was oily fish was a disgrace...... sad to see what management done to this restaurant
Had the best fun time with family and friends. The waiter was very friendly. The food was awesome.
I'm pregnant and was craving sushi so badly, I got the prawn California rolls which is safe to have since its fried.
It has a great atmosphere, friendly staff from the time you walk in and the food never disappoints... all sorts of deliciousness
Horrible Service. Was ignored and left alone at a table in the middle of the restaurant while waiters were bustling behind me at their waiter station. They got my order wrong, the manager was rude and ignored all her customers. The owner i assume lady with red lipstick and long red nails was rather dissipointing just kept talking to one table and not all her customers. Dissipointing customers experience.
