Palm Springs Holiday Resort

When we arrived there, we were given the keys without any communication that there's no electricity. When we came back from the room that's when we were told that they are still awaiting for Eskom since 2. We sit in a car without any update until I suggested a room with electricity. They couldn't think. Other family member had dirty linen. They had to be told and they came to change them.

This is exactly what we needed! Our large family was accommodated with ease! We used the 5 of the chalets for our 40+ size family. We were situated right on the river front, over looking the beach, sheltered by 2 / 3 sets of rocks for the adventurous fisherman. Rooms were clean, and the gas stove to make coffee during load shedding was a lovely touch. There is barely signal, but this is exactly what we needed. A complete break away from reality. There is a shopping centre and petrol station, with all you would need, a short drive away, if you had forgotten anything. Highly recommend for the adventurous soul, who's looking for something a little different. A quiet, peaceful break away from the fast paced life style we have in Gauteng. Nearby activities: Swimming at the beach, or in the river. Play ground for the kids. Fishing. Kite flying. Conference center on site Safety: Extremely safe. Guard patrols regularly. Watch out for the monkeys in the morning though! They do like the scraps from last night. Make sure you pack it up the night before. Walkability: Walking distance to wifi Walking distance to the beach or river Can fish in the river 50m +- Fishing in the sea may take a bit of exploring, but we found fish on the rocks in front of the river mouth.

It was an awesome place for our big family to get together. The service was super good and helpful. Chalets were well spaced and well maintained. I would recommend anyone to go and enjoy this holiday resort. Plenty activities for the kids as well and for the adults to enjoy.Rooms: 5/5

The place is good for a getaway. It does need maintenance though. There are no TV's in the rooms,no irons, no network,no extra blankets are provided,windows are broken and the showers are not cleaned properly. The ceiling in one of our rooms in our chalet had a black mark to show that there is a roof leakage. Would only use it as a last option.
