Not to far from the Airport, also very close to the beach and river lagoon. Great look for the place with a pool and boma available. Food is amazing and the staff prepare it to your needs or requests. Staff also goes above and beyond to assist with any request made within their power. Generator also ready for those loadshedding times. Great for a businessman/women or a family wanting to spend sometime at the ocean. Rooms: Beautiful and neat rooms. With DSTV and a small fridge. Tea and coffee available in the room. Shower is spacious and no issue with water pressure Nearby activities: Beach is closeby Lagoon is 100m away from the gate with boatding activities available. They also have a pool on the premises. Safety: 5star Food & drinks: Amazing food. Breakfast and supper available, and you can choose between the meals of the day. Coffee and tea readily available in the rooms, just don't drink the tap water Eastern Cape issue Noteworthy details: Beautiful landscape on site. This will make you feel far from home and relaxed. The place itself will make you feel at home
Really enjoyed our stay here. The place is kept neat and clean everyday and the staff are super helpful & friendly! Situated right next to the river, it’s a great escape.Rooms: 5/5
Tidewaters have a lot of potential, but it needs improved management. We did not get the room we booked and paid for. In fact, they did not even know we had a booking when we checked in. The room was a little dirty and even though the room could accommodate 3 people, we had insufficient cutlery. The people above us made a lot of noise and what seemed like, banged on the floor. Our breakfast, hower was great and the service friendly. Overall, we would not return but we would not advise people not to go there.
I love Tidewaters River Lodge. I really enjoyed their attention to detail such as making me breakfast and being available to help me with anything that I needed. The lodge is a perfect escape from busy life because of the beautiful paradise setup. With trees, outdoor sitting, fire place and a small pool for family. The lodge is right next to the river giving guests access to fishing or boat rides. There is no public transportation but they have a shuttle that collected and dropped me at the airport. You can use your own car, their shuttle or Bolt to go around Gonubie. They are friendly. I really recommend this place to anyone who wishes to have a great time.
The accommodation was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Zoleka met us on arrival and attended to all our needs during our too short stay. The lodge is a short stroll from the Gonubie river which is teeming with birds. We even saw a family of ducks with 10 babies, swimming on the river. We'll definitely visit them again when we go that way. .
Perfect venue for our weekend workshop! Very clean, good service, excellent food. Great hosts, Deon and Devan. Stylish and comfortable rooms set in a lovely garden,; peaceful and relaxing.
A gem in the middle of the city. It's well run and taken care off, loved the bathroom. Zoleka is the best, she took care of us. It's literally next to the river. They advertise a Jacuzzi even though they don't have one
Beautiful location alongside the river. Awesome host that's very accommodating. Friendly staff with prompt service. Definitely a recommended stay when visiting East London. Top stars Tidewaters
Outstanding accommodation and facilities!! Absolutely love my stays at Tide Waters. Beautiful setting, and fantastic staff!
Our second trip to Tide Waters and once again we weren't disappointed. 5 stars to Zolika what a wonderful happy helpful lady!! Deon and Devon are also such a pleasure to deal with and never hesitated to go the extra mile to fulfill our special request! Thank you, you will be seeing us again.
