Parow Golf Club

Good gold course with great view of Table Mountain, Lions Head and Devils Peak. The course was challenging, moreso for me as an inland Golfer from Pretoria. Navigating through the wind and having to play low drives were my highlights. The sand beneath the rough, especially where the grass is not well connected, was also interesting as one had to play as though they were fairway bunkers. Besides necessary improvement from the Pro Sho's customer service, this was a fair course to play.

Beautiful Venue.. went for a Shzen Function with Regional Manager Adele Oebel.. motivational talk foe Woman's Month. Was absolutely awesome.. who would have thought around the corner from Vasco Soccer is this beautiful Golf Course

Parow Golf Club was nice. I enjoyed playing a round there. We went in August so the winter rains helped. The fairways we lush and seemed well maintained. We were here in summer and the course was in a bad shape. I'm glad it's looking good now.

The condition of the course was not good to say the least. The fairways had patches of open sand and if your ball land on them it was like landing in a bunker. The course just had a neglected look about it. Having said that it cannot be easy maintaining a course built on sand. The staff were very friendly and I enjoyed the bar area.

Value for money. The course is super forgiving and open. Friendly staff. If you are starting out this is the place to be.

A good course for those of us beginners with a relatively high handicap. I will keep coming back. But a little friendlier staff will be appreciated.

I played a round at Parow Golf Club for the first time this week, and I was really impressed. Sure, the clubhouse may not have the "glitz and glamour" of more highbrow clubs like those in Durbanville and Bellville, but don't underestimate this facility. Rounds are much better priced, staff are friendly, facilities are professional all round, cart hire is available, a golf shop available on premises, everything you need really. The course features wide fairways, making it accessible for amateur to intermediate level players. However, there are some "tricky" holes next to water, and interesting wind conditions, that will challenge more advanced players. The fairways are really good, with a few patches of sand here and there, but the greens in particular are of a high standard. I would recommend Parow to all my friends and will be back.

As a venue: Have had two different annual social functions here... They are very accomodating but tend to under deliver on the night. Bar service is exceptionally slow and seems no prep is done in advance to stock up and get enough glasses. Food is average at best, and dessert was undercatered on both occasions. Cannot comment on actual golf facilities.
