PnP Durbanville was a 5 star shop. Sadly the store has steadily declined over the last year. The new management is not in touch with the Durbanville. A few examples: sushi was brilliant - then they change the variety available to everything having crab stick - sales declined, as not everyone wants crab sticks - close the sushi counter. The beef mince, was best in town - change the recipe added more fat, upped the price. The bakery was outstanding, sold the best Mediterranean roles in the Cape - the big display which sold volumes daily - gets moved to a very small unappealing window display.
One of my favourite stores. Good variety, organised, clean and operating during load shedding. I would give them a 5 if they sort out the credit card problem at their tills. You have to insert or swipe your card multiple times before it goes through. To be fair, this is happening more and more at all P&P stores while I do not experience this at any other store.
Very disappointed in this store, i jave been a customer for 12 years. The ladies at the lunch service is more interested in chatting to colleagues than assiting. I was standing across from her at the counter and motioned i want to order but she was more interested to chat. This is not the first time, the service is non existent. They are slow and blatantly make customers wait.
Always find nice avos and readobsbly priced mushrooms here. Shop has become more user friendly since the store management seems to use employees instead of owners to attend to the day to day business!
I'm so disappointed my daughter insisted to go buy fruits and vegetables and my surprise the green pepper is rotten imagine packing it looks nice but rotten inside now its closed can't go back there
Second time in two weeks to buy meat and the meat smells rotten , that was instore. First thing that greets you at the butchery is a bad odour from meat. The person in charge of the butchery is not doing his job and if the manager of the store do his rounds everyday on the floor he or she would have picked it up in what a bad state the butchery is.
I was very impressed with the young gentleman in the bottle store who recommended certain wines and took me through to the wine dept. To check stock of a certain wine I love. Great service. Good prices. I will be joining their wine club.
A very disappointing shopping experience. I am not sure if this store has changed hands in ownership but couldn't find a number of items on my list. Shelves seem to be quite empty. I then went to have a cup of coffee and a sandwich in the restaurant attached to the store, and another disappointing experience. No cappuccino as the machine was broken, a very basic sandwich and oily chips. When I ha to pay I was given a hand written slip on a piece of scrap paper and told to pay at the information desk. I then ha to stand in a queue of 5 people with their lotto slips to be checked and someone returning an item which took ages. I will most definitely not be supporting them anymore. The shop was not busy at all. When I left I decided to go to Checkers to get the missing items. Shop was very busy, so that tells me something.
This store is definitely not open till 19:00 on a Sunday ... drove all the way to there at 16:00 this Sunday with my 89yr old mother, and there were happy to close the doors on front of us! If your hours has changed .. and your customers matter to you ... then please change your hours in you website.
Store is very neat and clean but I find the butchery section is nit well stocked. Possibly this is due to the time I shopped.
