My favourite place in Port Elizabeth! I absolutely love this place and the scenery and the vibe and how pretty it is. Walking through the park is amazing and almost feels like another world in the middle of PE. The nature is beautiful and well looked after, as well as the conservatory. It's really beautiful inside. It has however become quite unsafe, and even going in groups deter visiting a little.
I used to love the Conservatory. We took our children there for a visit on Father's day. The Conservatory has a sparse amount of plants in it, the same plants that seem to grow better outside the "hot house" environment. We found old drug paraphernalia, piles of cigarette butts, rubbish and molten candles... And some Marijuana seedlings. This is a Gem of a tourist attraction just waiting to be restored to its former glory.
Amazing atmosphere supporting our National cricket ladies in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYes
It was nice a few years ago but is just locked now so hobos don't can on there and use the plants as toilet paperVisited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Beautiful! Well kept. Nice quite strolls.. Guards constantly patrol the site. Had a bit of fun with by the swing
The park is lovely with lots of indigenous trees and plants. Nice spots for picnics. Unfortunately there are places with litter and the conservatory is fenced in, with no acces for the public. The conservatory is also empty, so even if you could get in, there would be no point. Luckily this was only a small part of an otherwise lovely park.
Whent along to the Sunday monthly market. Although it seems well supported mainly white elepant stalls. St Georges Park is certainly in need of a lot of care and attention definitely not the icon it once was.
Awesome place for a nice walk
Great pitch. Great environment.
Beautiful old trees and great diversity of plants. A pity it is so dirty with garbages in the flower beds... A lot of plastics.
