If I could, I would give this place zero stars. Their behaviour is absolutely shocking to me -especially because I was a tenant who never defaulted on any rent and I had been with them for over 3 years. Before I even moved out they made me live 4months without a stove. Their agent would ignore me often when I called in and emailed. They have also robbed me of my deposit. I had given them R7100 for a deposit and they now want to return ONLY R800. I had tried to communicate timelessly to enquire why they would charge me for things I can not control. Their maintenance agent Amy Keatley is EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. She would even drop my phone calls and rudely tell me that what I am enquiring for is not her only job and I should wait for her response. I further waited THREE weeks for communication but to no avail. RenProp as a whole is still ignoring my calls. I also escalated it to their manager- Sheree von Widdern who was of NO Assistance either. On top of this they have FALSELY CHARGED ME OF AN ELECTRICITY BILL dated for April when I moved out in February- decreasing my deposit even further to R800. I have still not recieved back my simple deposit and they are not answering my calls or emails. Their conduct as a whole is poor and disgusting. If you do not want the hassle of losing your deposit to ridiculous charges and being exploited and disregarded- DO NOT RENT WITH RENPROP.
Disgusting behaviour. Firstly Our deposit was R7100. When we were supposed to leave -our deposit was said to be less than R3000. Now suddenly after 3 months we do not have a deposit . Blessing, Sheree , Amy and quite frankly anyone we called there was of poor service to us. I will not ever use this agency again. Do NOT rent with Renprop.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not rent with Renprop. I am currently taking a legal recourse on a violation of my constitutional right by Renprop. Trust me, the rot is from the top!!! Chris Rennicle CEO is unbothered by any grievances that are brought to his desk. Zane and Sheree are enabled to ill treat people. The buck stops here!!!! DO NOT RENT WITH RENPROP!!!
I rented a unit from Renprop for 1 year at Douglasgate. Worst service ever experienced in my life. Maintenance on unit wasn’t done before I moved in. I had to use the back door for months as front burglar guard just stopped working, had a leaking shower for months. Then at their end, they rob me of R4000 from my deposit. Stay away from these people. They won’t respond to emails , I don’t know how this business is still operating.
Breach of contract. I singed a mandate to place a tenant in my property, they placed the tenant, but the day before the tenant is to move in I received the said mandate. They indicated that payments will be made on the 10th of the following month, this did not happen. There is no accountability, they do not deliver on their contracts!
I had the worst experience I would rate them 0 if I could. It has been a month since the end of my lease contract and I still have not received my deposit back. I have been following up with Fiona Peterson as my agent and she has just been ignoring me, promising to call me back and never does. I have sent her emails and she just does not bother to respond to them. I have never been more fed up.
We live in a Renprop managed estate with Angelique as our estate manager. Completely and utterly appalled by the handling of estate matters. Some units have not had hot water for over 2 weeks now. Nobody has come out to investigate or addressed the matter effectively. Completely unacceptable for R60 000 levies per year! No progressive status update from Angelique. No communication from Renprop management. Use any other estate manager than Renprop!
It has been horrible living here, I'm an international renter, 1st time living in SA, and never in my life out of all 7 countries that I have lived in have I ever dealt with the fraudulent activity that takes place with Renprop employees. Upon the 1st day of moving in, I noticed there was a clog in the shower which caused water to leak out from the shower onto the floor, I recorded this and reported it to my rental agent the 2nd day after moving into the apartment as well as sending several more videos and messages throughout the week as this issue became progressively worse, a week later Renprop maintenance was sent out to unclog the drainPictures included. During the next month, I received my 1st ivy statement that showed a charge for a "Boiler Fee" for 291.06 I called the person listed on the statement Lynnette-Vermaak /Ley and asked what this fee was as this was NEVER mentioned to me before signing the lease. Lynnette-Vermaak/Ley was extremely insolent, I'll manner, and shockingly audacious and just repeated that it's a fee for the boiler. Still confused I asked a few neighbors who had no clue what a "Boiler Fee" was. A few days after this call, Lynnette Vermaak Ley sent me an invoice for a clogged drain for 750.50 I replied back to the email and informed Lynnette Vermaak that the clog was present before I occupied the apartment. I also noticed on the Ivy statement that there was a charge for the gas, upon moving in the gas was not working and maintenance was called back out two weeks later to fix the issue. For two months the gas was never used as I was traveling and never cooked anything. I reached out to Lynnette Vermaak Ley and asked if I could get the gas bill and water bill sent directly to me from the gas and water company, as Lynnette Ley puts the gas and water charges on the ivy statement with no breakdown as to how these bills are calculated and/or being charged. She blatantly told me no the bills are sent to the corporate body.
I do not recommend renting at Ren Prop’s The view in Morningside. The noise insulation is horrible, their fittings are frail once, the glass fan randomly shattered and fell everywhere in the kitchen it could've likely injured me should I have been within the vicinity and they gave me such a difficult time when I tried to cancel the lease. I highly do NOT recommend renting an apartment in this building and using Ren Prop's services.
Probably the most incompetent service provider I have ever worked with. I own an apartment and the management of the lease is with Renprop. Inspections on the apartment sometimes take a year to complete I'm not joking. They've often made mistakes on leases, don't keep me informed when the tenant doesn't pay their rent I have to dig through statements to find out. When issues are escalated to a Manager, it gets ignored. Absolutely money hungry company with no real respect for its clients
