It is such a happy family oriented event. I love everything about it and have been attending since I was a kid. Now I take my own kids there. The stalls are amazing, the food is delicious and regardless of how full the event is cleanliness is never compromised. The staff ensure that the grounds remain spotless throughout the event. Looking forward to attending again next year possibly in the new venue.
Annual event of the Royal Show will be sorely missed due to it's history at the location. Highlights are seeing the variety of stunning animals and the atmosphere of the event. Besides the Royal Show the grounds hosts many other wonderful events throughout the year.
I always enjoy my time here and make sure I attend every year....was tons of fun..lots to see and do..and lots of walking too. Great outing for families and friends...actually for 1 and all..had a wonderful day !
My First time experiencing the very Last royal show. Was a great experience. Great opportunity for mature and growing businesses to showcase what they have to offer as well as non profits and Government services to provide insight into what they do. The food was fantastic and such a variety to choose from. The event grounds were constantly maintained and there was hardly any litter or waste left lying around. The midday to evening concert was very enjoyable. Look forward to the new grounds and events in the future
Another year off sugar art done and dusted! I was very happy with the judges marks! One silver and two bronzes, quite chuffed with the results! Last show at the Royal Showgrounds!
Enjoyable visit, very busy, plently stalls and activities on the last show hosted on the iconic Royal Agricultural Grounds for well over 60 years. The property has since been sold.
Entry fees were really affordable. Everything was clean and well organized. Would have been nice to have a map of sorts to locate the various stores and areas. Esp for those with kids. But we loved it and enjoyed taking the time to walk-around and enjoy it all. Def recommend wearing flat shoes and a hat.
Lovely day spent at the royal show. Weather was perfect, ample parking at a cost of R20, Would recommend that the elderly get dropped off at the entrance as it may be too long a walk for them. Not much entertainment for kids, Food stalls were very limited. Some very creative exhibits showing off very unique items.
Always love the atmosphere, the stands, the arena events, the livestock. Glad there is an online ticket choice, so much more convenient. However...once you have been to one royal show, the next is the same old same old. Still love it though.
Enjoyed the day. Lots of stalls selling everything from battery charges, farm vehicles, snacks, clothing , jewellery, cosmetics refreshments, and food, etc. You can watch the sheep shearing, cattle exhibits, showjumping, quilt and decorating exhibition. A nice outing for the whole family
