The Ted Barber Fire Station on Pretoria Rd in Rynfield Benoni is in a total state of derelict due to the lack of maintenance by Ekurhuleni’s corrupt and failing management. This not only brings down the value of property around it but is becoming a concern with the area of grass around it not being kept cut or trimmed. I am appalled that we must look at this disgusting eyesore everyday. God help us if the fire engines are in the same derelict state in a case of emergency. Even the road behind it is just riddled with potholes. Totally unacceptable.
Thankfully I have not required their services, but this one awesome day we went there and where welcomed by very friendly fireman, who seemed passionate about what they do and they gave us a guided tour... was pretty cool. Reading other negative comments, I do hope that the management of the fireman are on the ball as the fireman really and genuinely seemed ready for any action their services require.
