Sandton Lodge Rivonia

Had an awesome team build and lunch at Sandton Lodge today. Friendly staff and lovely venue nestled in the heart of Sandton. Food was fresh and tasty. Staff was helpful. We were a crowd of about 50 people and were asked to keep the noise down during a team build event because of the spa on site, people were complaining, other than that all was pretty cool.

The food was absolutely dreadful. The service was decent at best. Most of the employees hardly speak english. Room sizes are good. The washing machine broke on the 2nd day of our stay. I have absolutely no clue how the place has 4 stars. I will only stay here again if I get compensated for my time. If you intend on staying here you better bring food that is actually edible.

Amazing beautiful fantastic hotel / lodge/ function event, etc. I have never seen or heard or this place before I went there so to be honest it completely caught me off guard - like just the whole dam place - it is AMAZING!!! Firstly the sheer size of the venue is astounding, then how clean and well kept it is and everything is so well looked after and lovely - its all just lovely. Then the rooms - apart from being absolutely beautiful, big and clean - they are super affordable too!! I am seriously considering cancelling my own lease and just moving in here full-time lol. I would happily easily recommend it to any and every one as a wonderful wonderful place to spend the afternoon, night, weekend or even the month!! Take care and thanks for reading :

I hosted my makeup workshop at this venue & I was very happy with the space, their service & amenities. I'll definitely be using their conferencing space again in July. Thank you Ricky and your team. You were all amazing!

I loved it. This place is actually big. Beautiful pool that I didn't swim in because I was occupied .. But anyway the place is cool, I will definitely return. Oh and my partner actually forgot her shoes in our room which housekeeping found and kept safe until we collected it. Thanks for that guys it was really a great valentine's away weekend.

Love love love love loved this place! The rooms are GORGEOUS! Super private, with a balcony and you can see the garden and pool. The service is fantastic, the breakfast is so filling and so well prepared, you will want to give the chef a hug! Bathrooms were spotless and super stylish. Absolutely loved the quiet time here.

Good sized rooms. Clean and neat gardens. Breakfast is very average. Cater very poorly for vegans and vegetarians. They asked me to eat the sides and did not make a proper main course for me. They also do not have non dairy milk alternatives. I had to buy my own. No vegan margarine etc. The bar closed very early on a Friday and Saturday and we were asked to leave at around 10 30 so if you want to have drinks you will have to go elsewhere. Good central location though with pleasant rooms. No gates on the doors, did make me a bit nervous though.
