Thai little corner shop offers ice-creams, pastries and opens for dinner. Cured meats, cheese and wine which you can purchase and take home. Lots of all around the world product and plenty of Gluten free, wheat free etc for all dietary requirements. The haggis were a bit heavy and the sauce very thick… not the best o had. Unfortunately the tortilla was quite dry and couldn’t finished as there’s were very dry bits. The haddock was the best alongside the vinagreta and the gordal olives but those you can get anywhere. Staff was very friendly and explained all very good.
Brilliant birthday celebration and tapas at the Scottish Deli last night. Great food and service, nothing was a problem , including sneaking me in early to surprise my friend and helping me find accommodation locally! The team made a lovely fuss of the birthday girl and this was matched by really tasty tapas and beautiful desserts. Will definitely be back.
If you ever have a chance to visit this deli in the evening. You will have an excellent experience. Young and enthusiastic staff, a warm welcome. The tapas dishes were absolutely delicious whatever you choose. An excellent choice of cheeses to finish. Really good choices of wine. We had an excellent evening. It’s very popular needless to say. Well done.
Ate here twice. In the afternoons, they serve baguettes and salads.Tried the baguettes: delicious; wish I could've tried the others. In the evenings they serve Spanish style tapas: also delicious and very memorable; again I wish I could've tried them all. The cafe also has an assortment of local/niche food items such as honeys, olive oils etc, typical cafe pastries and a great selection of alcohol to pair with your tapas. Finally, the staff, ambience and service are all excellent! Highly recommend this place.
We popped in on the off-chance last Saturday evening for tapas. It was the weekend of the Dunkeld Enduro mountain bike event & we hadn’t booked a table. Jane & her staff couldn’t have been more accommodating & pleasant for the 2 of us & our dog. They found space & made up a table, which was perfect. Staff were excellent, great service, very friendly. We’ve had take-out lunches here before which were great, but this is our first time in the evening. And we will definitely be back. Thank you so much
Loved visiting the Scottish deli. We stopped in for a coffee which was fantastic and then bought a selection of cheeses, meats and bread that were all wonderful. The place is so quirky and the staff are brilliant.
We stopped here on our way to Keith. It’s a wonderful little Deli serving amazing food and beverages. The scone was one of the best I have ever had.
We enjoyed our visit to The Scottish Deli. I had two baguettes, one with Brie and cranberry and another with chorizo and goats cheese. Both were nice and the flavours worked well together, however I thought the baguettes themselves were basic. I was expecting a little better tbh. My wife had the lentil soup and tuna mayo baguette. She enjoyed both. We weren’t too happy that we were provided our food in takeaway bags and cutlery no plates even though we were sitting in. My wife also got a plastic straw for her drink which was surprising. They have a good selection of local deli products. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Unsurprisingly it was a little pricey but it was to be expected as it’s a tourist spot.
18:45 booking for Tapas on a brief but impressive snowy evening in March. ... I am not a huge Tapas fan as the portions are often poor, adding up to an expensive main meal. I have accepted that the area whole region is expensive, and so the individual prices were not a shock . What was a really pleasant surprise was that the portions were a nice size, the suggested three dishes being ample. I even didn't mind sharing of course, being the whole point, but more than often, not enough to do so. The negative point for me, I thought there would be a good selection of ales, but the only 500ml IPA was not available leaving a tasty but paltry £5 330ml. The slightly mediocre points, the prawns were in a rather boring garlic butter instead of rich tomato. Squid is squid, good quality and nicely cooked, but a little plain. The great points ... the Chicken Skewers Pinchos, Lamb Tagine, Spinach and Chickpea were absolutely excellent. Also, the 'house' G&T was very good value. Staff were very nice, and it is dog friendly. The best Tapas I have had and would definitely come again the promise of other Tapas establishments may tempt me once more, but suspect I would be disaspointed in comparison
Superb welcome and a wonderful atmosphere.Great range of Artisan foods, champagne's , wine's in the 'Deli'. Fabulous home baked bread to take home and coffee and scones to enjoy inside. Definitely worth a visit.
