Food was great! Steaks cooked well. One of us had a prego roll and it was apparently very good as well. Only downfall was having to wait for drinks for more than 30 minutes. At some point the people serving us seemed confused. They were lovely people though so that redeemed the experience. Despite the slight irritation over the drinks, the food and waitresses personality made up. Kid-friendliness: They have a play area.
Best Spur I have been to Yet We ordered a TakeAway and the Waitress was very friendly and happy. The meal was Outstanding! We both seriously enjoyed our Original Spur burgers 1 × Rib Burger /chips/onion rings and I can't wait to go back to this specific Spur! Also really LOVE that they catered for TakeAway with serviettes, toothpicks, hand wipes and plenty of condiments - Well Done
Today 23 September: my birthday I ordered a medium rare fillet. The waiter wrote medium-well and the manager bullied me into paying for it because in his words, "[I] don't know what [I] want". Anyway it was late and I'm a bit too soft-spoken to Karen out in public. Long story short, I payed R170 for a side of chips. Love that for me!
It would be best if they had a separate grill for lamb chops and beef steak because some of us are allergic to pork and they grill everything except chicken and fish. Last time I had steak, I asked the waiter to please request the grilling staff to please do my steak on the chicken grill but I guess he thought I was making the story up and had to spend a day @ home due to the allergic reaction I had.
Not the bad service we received hey. Thato clearly doesn’t care about customer satisfaction and just leaves a table unattended with no explanation. Maki, who is the manager, does not take customer complaints seriously. We watched her not want to take our issue seriously when she was told about it until we called her ourselves. We were told to order before getting WiFi which we did but still nothing. spur is supposed to be this friendly place where one can eat and work but how when the work part is not taken seriously. Siyanda came to the rescue, such a calm and open minded person that made the rest of our stay comfortable , ask for him when you get there.
Friendly service, great food but the service is slow everytime I go. Never go hungry, you'll otherwise die of hunger waiting for your foodFood: 5/5
The broken aircon next to us kept dripping dirty water onto us. The restuarant was hot and stuffy with poor ventilation.The steak had alot of gristle and was unappetizing. The fruit cocktail was served warm. The service grill was also dirty.Definety not the standard expected from the Spur brand. I was sincerely disappointed.
Food was Great ribs just thay did not have the 3 or 2 course meal special like I had yesterday or this morning at 2 different Spurs in limpopo or Mapumalaga.Food: 5/5
Worst eating xperience ever !! Wish I could give minus stars !! 1. Waiter very unfriendly; didnt even bother to introduce herself or even smile think her name was something like Zethu ; I gathered from her name tag as she zipped around...didnt even say a word as I paid and left ..maybe she thought ;goodbye and come again was a bit over the top after the crap service. 2. She took us to an uncleaned table; then she made us walk back to another cleaned table in the opposite direction. 3. So then; I ordered my food and got the drinks and ....sleep time. I seriously nodded off 4 times before we got the starters !! 4.Then we got the starters and ...the nachos comes in a dinner plate ...no side plates!! 5.When I asked for side plates;she arrived with big dinner plates and said THEY DID NOT HAVE PLATES because they were busy Say what ; a spur without plates 6. Finished with the nachos; and she basically grabbed the leftovers and zipped off . 7. And then the main course; u wish ...sleep time...would have had the time to tell her she only brought half the order of mine if she didnt just throw the boards with the food on the table and zipped off ...and the food ...holy crap.. the steak was overdone and dry she would have know I like my steak medium rare if she bothered to ask when taking my order ..and the onion rings were dry like they were reheated about 3 or 4 times..ran out of drinks half way through my meal..couldnt get waiters attention..wife didnt bother to eat her food ...was just disgusted and wanted to leave..I gave up and just waited for the waiter to show up 8. And then she appeared ..I asked for the bill and a doggie bag ...had to wait again.. but I got a doggie bag... See pics She was very suprised when I mentioned I got half the order buffalo wings never arrived and she seriously thought she was going to get a tip... Well; I guess they deserve the one star for not charging me for the stuff they didnt bring.. IF SPUR THINKS THIS PATHETIC SERVICE WILL BE TOLERATED WHEN U OPEN A SPUR IN ESTCOURT; THINK AGAIN; U WILL GO OUT OF BUSINESS IN A YEAR OR SO LIKE NANDOS; STEERS AND SCOOTERS PIZZA . .. I defintely will NOT be going back there again, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS ..FIRST AND LAST TIME.. ..
