The Sky of Abundance retreat centre is located on the magnificent Blue Hippo farm, 4km outside Greyton. Nestled at the foot, and rising to the peaks of the Sonderend mountains, the farm has attracted many visitors over the years since 2004. A magnificent herd of horses and a magical Tipi village emerged then, and are still both growing and expanding.
To compliment this we have opened and are developing the Sky of Abundance Retreat centre deep in nature, at the entrance to a kloof where a stream flows constantly out of the mountains above. It is ideal for those looking for deep immersion in nature. At the core of the space is a sacred ceremonial hut, that has its design and purpose anchored in the red path tradition of the sacred fire of Itzachilatlan where we honour mother earth and nature in simple and ancient practices, connecting us with nature.
The space and design of the facility is also very flexible and will accommodate a wide variety of types of retreats and functions and activities, that share the appreciation of the medicine that deep immersion in nature brings.
At present there are only camping facilities for accommodation, but we are putting much energy in the space and will soon have more accommodation options to offer.
