The staff are pleasant people, but I wouldn't allow my child to stay there. Govan Mbeki is a dangerous neighborhood and they decide to house students there, have to question the logic.
Very safe once inside. Bio-metric entrance for fingerprints for residents and visitors have to leave identification at the security station by the entrance. Single and sharing rooms are available at varying prices. There are lifts for residents on the different floors with males and females separated by floors. Kitchens include sink, fridge, microwave and drive for all to use. Rooms come with a desk, bed and wardrobe. Ideal for students.
I stayed here in my student days. It was an Ok residence. I am happy to they have made some improvements in order to better the stay of future tenants. I gave 4 stars because they can always do betteralways room for improvement and all that.
Terrible service especially from the office, had to contact main branch in johannesburg for assistance,dont get me started on the stealing of property done by staff. if you looking forward to a moody office staff "Akhulile" that work with security to steal your belongings I recommend South point PE for you.
I am a student currently living at South Point and I'm not really happy with being here. We have so many problems but the management does not adress them. Our WiFi is capped which puts us in a disadvantage and sometimes it's does not work at all.

It's a secured, the rooms are in good condition and the staff are very friendly.
I've had the worst experience ever at south point, you don't get the services you simply paid for, they don't care whatsoever about the students.They take their time to fix problems, they don't have transparency.
Wowit's just chaotic here taxis blocking road and stopping anywhere and it's filthy horrible no order at all and it's not safe.
