Went there on the morning of 26 March 2023 for breakfast. We were assisted as we walked in. The food and drinks were good. Our waiter, Julian was friendly, thoughtful and nice. No issues at all, other than my eyes being bigger than my stomach. Ps: At first it was weird when the toast was brought out before the actual breakfast because we thought it would become cold but Julian was swift with bringing out the food. The cappuccino was very hot.
Poor service. Food undercooked, orders incorrect twice and food and beverage quality was so poor. Waited over an hour & half for food, waiter looked like he was asleep and forgot about our table.... So disappointed, never eating here again. This spur needs to do better. Seriously.Food: 1/5
This Spur branch knows how to deliver on service , speed and quality. I been frequenting this branch for a number of years now and they certainly set the bar for the other branches to follow. Thanks guys keep it A Special shout out to Alex and Floor manager's who go out of their way to see if their clients are satisfied.
The worst experience ever. Firstly our waiter was unfriendly and unprofessional He brought placemats to our table and just dumped it on the table. We then ordered starter mushrooms to share. The waiter didn't even bring side plates to use to eat from. We ended up using our serviettes. My steak I ordered ws so suppose to medium to well done. It was horrible and tough and cooked more on the medium side. I sent the steak back to be cooked more. But came back the same as I sent it still red inside. Also there was very little basting on the steak. The lady manager/Supervisor that was on duty was walking around with a shirt on that was so tight on her thar the buttons was about to burst. Then also camera on playroom very badly positioned. Also they only have 1 camera in whole playroom. U can't see who is entering or leaving the playroom. Nor can u see how the kids are playing. Then lastly waiter brought our bill with out us even asking for it. We felt like we were bring chased away.
What a terrible experience to have your child play in the play area where there is a dedicated child minder to make sure your child is okay and having fun. Well that was the complete opposite for what happened. My 2 and a half year old boy hurt his hand and when asked what happened, the child minder does not even know why or where or what even happened. Definitely do not recommend this place. Kid-friendliness: Absolutely poor. If I could give a -5 for the experience, I would.

The worst experience for Iftar on Friday the 31st of March 2023. To sum this up, very, very poor planning by management, knowing it's Friday, it's iftaar, it's month end, need I say more. They only had 2 cooks to feed over almost 100 people. Our food came 1 hl hour after Iftaar, keeping in mind when we got there it was very empty and still early, we got there at 18:10 and placed our order, iftar is 18:45 and our food came 19:30pm. My kids and I fasted whole day and they became naggy already. Eventually when I got the food my meal was so ice cold, steak I could throw I hole in the wall with that's how dried out it was for medium to well selection. The manager and staff was all over the place and I actually called the manager to explain that this is not on. Our bill was R1100 and I feel like I completely wasted my money! Spur do better, your meals are not cheap, don't let your customers walk away feeling robbed! Go learn from your Ottery branch and do better!
My waiter Hannes delivered very good service. He was friendly, attentive, and a good source of information regarding Halaal and Non- Halaal catering. However, I had to wait long for the food to be ready. Even though the restaurant was not that busy.Food: 2/5
On the 14th of March 2023,we had a team building luncheon at this establishment. The general service was impressive. Although the atmosphere lacked vibrancy but then that was compensated by the food which was the best and the waiter were very professional and vibrant notably Nandi who went the extra mile for us. I think she's an asset to this establishment and I would definitely chose the same spot for my upcoming eid celebration to mark end of Ramadan.
This restaurant is closed at 21:00, yet brag about being "open late"! Unbelievable! Never setting foot in the Spur again!!!
