We popped into San Marco to grab a quick lunch. We had their Black Friday special; gin and tonic and also an Aperol Spritz. And to eat, we shared some starters. The food was very tasty - especially the bruschetta and the halloumi starter. Unfortunately when eating the calamari there was hard piece of stone or something inside it that ruined the dish and was very off putting. The staff were very apologetic and offered us another portion - which we declined. Other than that, the staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant has a great location in the waterfront.
……In all the years that we saw and just avoided this prime-located restaurant a real tourist hot-spot over looking the Table-Bay harbour where all the yachts and boats are anchored exuding the feel of Monte-Carlo and in the background the picturesque Table Mountain. Even the Big Wheel is right there only a stones throw away. When we saw that “Hyperli” has a voucher offering a Choice of Meal for two we decided that now is our chance to visit and experience the Tourist-ii thing. The restaurant has a love-lii inside seating area, a nice well stocked up Bar but drinks are served at the tables but the massive outside seating area under all the large umbrellas is real-lii the place to be. They are Covid-19 compliant, you must wear your “mask”, hand-spray when you arrive, you have to fill-out the personal information form and your temperature is checked. Our waitress Chenesai was very well mannered and attended to us pleasant-lii. To start off we settled for a glass of Nederberg “Rose’” and for mains we had 1. 250g Sirloin-steak served with chips 2. Line-fish catch of the day light-lii grilled with chips. Our meals were delicious and the ambience was true-lii relaxed and the the stunning views made the enjoyment of the meals even more enjoyable. The restaurant has an enormous menu-card offering: - Starters, Salads, Seafoods, Meats, Pastas, Pizzas and even have a Vegetarian menu. Drinks: - Various Cocktails, Wine by the Bottle or glass. We real-lii had a good time here and would recommend this restaurant especially now that they are not very busy with the continuing Covid-19 pandemic because soon tourism will pick-up and it will not be easy to get in here……
Very nice place. Very good location and view. Atmosphere is amazing but a little noisy and super busy. We ordered Pizza margarita, Cesar salad and focacha. Our waiter Thelma was lovely. Thank you for nice lunch and dinner.
We had an excellent dinner at this restaurant on the V&A Waterfront with great service and great wine selection. The service was exceptional. Tips are included in the bills at a flat 10%.
Outstanding view and that's it. The food is ok but nothing to compare with true Italian cousine. Quite expensive. I suppose you are paying for the view and not the quality of the food. Staff always in hurry and very unfriendly. Very crowded. Long waiting time for food.
Very expensive food. We spend a 1000 rands with starter and main meal. My husband and I ordered pasta and both of us were not impressed at all. Mine was actually with no salt at all. A lot of pasta and some beef and mushrooms. The pasta I can make at home is much more tasty than that and cheaper restaurants have provided better flavored pasta to me before. Also, wine prices are just sky high...
1 star for the location but the rest is bad, Food is below average especially pizza which supposed to be there major. Staff is rudely asking for tips and they r asking for 10% of the bill as tips. Over priced. Not recommended at all. Even for take away they put in a cheap plastic bag.
I think the place is highly overpriced for no reason. The food is average and the staff was friendly
Lovely restaurant with good food. The atmosphere is very vibrant and busy but you can still enjoy yourself. The Di Pollo pizza was delicious and so was the Bolognese
Prime cut sirloin Steak was rather tasteless and lots fat and sinus. Carol cake dry and did not have cream cheese icing. There was a fire alarm going off for 45 minutes during lunch. Cheese Cake fabulous
