We just spent the weekend at your establishment and i wanted to say THANK YOU for an amazing time. We received the best service from the staff at The Square hotel including the managers Liezle and Brice. They were awesome. The vibe was just beautiful from the cocktails to the wine selection and OMW the food especially the breakfast spread that we had to say goodbye to this morning, sadly. We had such a lovely time and we want you to keep up the exceptional standards. You were all very welcoming and we will definitely be back for that king sized bed. We also managed to check out Gusto restaurant and spent some time with chef Chad. It was such a great chat and the manager Gaby also joined. The waiter Yanick introduced us to new cocktails and again an amazing italian spread. The experience and the vibe with the live music was honestly the best. I am humbled by all the new people we met and the level of service we experiencedThank you!!!
Beautiful setting. Waited over 10min to place a order. Our coffee and sandwich was delicious and lovely presentation. A place where friends can chat and relax on a warm summer afternoon.
Sweet potato fries are delicious. Chicken livers had some good heat Food: 4/5
We went to have lunch and a few drinks with friends. It was mostly a lovely experience with food, drinks, and entertainment. Our first waiter, Kelvin, was good and assisted us well. Service was a tab bit slow, but he made up for it with his friendliness and efficiency. Also, what he didn't know was that he would go and enquire and then report back. We ordered a variety of starters, which were delicious and sufficient. Our experience took a dip when Brice, the manager, started his shift. He was arrogant and rude and the reason we left and went to spend our money at another place. There was a baby shower, our table, and a table with 2 guys who were there to watch the soccer match. Instead of catering to the people who were there and reading the room, he turned the soccer on loud and refused to turn the volume down as he wanted to create a vibe. A vibe for who? For the two guys? Because the baby shower and our table took up the majority of the place, and we were definitely not there for the soccer. Our waiter apologized to us for Brice's behavior, and another staff member confirmed that he is, in fact, always like that. I think this place could be good but needs management that has customer service experience and one who knows how to treat customers. I definitely won't be going back here!
Had the most delicious Pork Ribs and Chips. The latte was mediocre & the cocktails are way too pricey, but the meal did not disappoint. The venue looks eyecatching, preppy & upclass with a nice view. The outer quad/courtyard/stage area seemed popular and busy with TikTokers making videos and Instagramers making reels. Drinks & Cocktails are very overpriced. This is not the spot to visit with your squad on a shoestring budget.
Lovely place. I like the vibe chilled and beautiful. The staff are very friendly and delightful. Definitely coming back. Food was delicious and overall service was great
Very disappointed on their baked new york cheese cake. R85 for one slice of cheese cake in which we ordered 3, to our expectations we imagined a 'mug and bean sort of portion' but to our horrid surprise we received 2 which looked like a quater of a normal slice and the 3rd one looked like 1/8th of a slice which was daylight robbery to say the least, if we hadn't complained to the manager he would've probably left us but he just changed the slice which was the thinnest and mentioned that the other 2 was the standard portion which caught us by surprise. The taste was not up to standard either. Please relook at your size portions as you are robbing your consumers. The atmosphere was lovely and we enjoyed our drinks and food. We made the most of our time there atleast.
We arrived at 17:30 at the huge restaurant, which was quite peacefull. At 18:30 is started getting much busier, most probably being a Wednesday. The coffees were tasty and very well presented, accompanied by a shortbread biscuit. Our selected mains were Prawn & Chilli pasta, containing a perfect amount of prawns and chilli, with a medium chilli bite. I opted for the Pork Belly, which is usually served with a cabbage and mash mix bubble and squeak, but I opted for plain mashed potato. Both meals were delicious. The Lemon Cheesecake, sorry forgot to take a picture, was very well presented. There were equal parts Cheesecake to sponge cake, but once again delicious and quite light. Worth the visit, but can get quite busy. So allow for that.
Absolutely amazing food,wine and ambiance. Do yourself a favor...
A very pleasant surprise! Chose to eat in at the hotel and was met by a dining & wine experience worthy of outside establishments, resulting in me eating in most night. Led by Enoch and team, thank you for making my trip an experience and so easy
